For The Forever Best Friend Who You'll Forever Be There For

I miss you, I love you, and I'll be here for you — always.

It's so tough to see your best friend struggling and going through a hard time. It's even tougher being 1,400 miles and 24 hours away from her.

But no matter the distance, no matter the time zone, no matter what, I will always be there for her.

I know I can't always be there physically, but I'll always be by her side. Through the good times and the bad times, I'm here. I know it hasn't been easy for her lately and she's going through so, so much. It hurts me to see her upset and struggling and I wish I could be there for her- to hug her, to drive around and sing with her, to have a dance party with her, to sit around and do nothing, to just be there with her.

But right now, I can't. I know I'll see her soon, but right now, a text or a FaceTime just doesn't seem like enough.

To my best friend, please know that I am always here for you, even when I can't really be there.

She's the toughest girl I know. My best friend is so strong, physically, emotionally, and mentally. She's a collegiate athlete and the fastest girl around, and I couldn't be prouder. I wish I could see all the times she runs across the finish line in first place, but I promise I'll be there cheering her on someday. She's gone through a lot of big life changes lately, and it's undoubtedly been tough. It would be incredibly difficult for anyone to go through what she is going through, but she keeps going. My best friend continues to work hard and keep a smiling face despite all the hardships in her life. She is so, so strong.

I am so proud to call her my best friend and to see her continue to do great things as she goes through so many painful life changes.

Yes, it's hard. It's confusing and it's just not fair. Everything that she's going through, she doesn't deserve it. But it'll be OK. To my best friend, I promise you it'll all turn out fine. It's so tough now, but you're even tougher. You're strong, you're smart, and you're you- and that'll always be enough. These hard, painful times won't last forever.

I'll be there for you through it all and it'll be OK in the end, I know it.

To my best friend, I'll always be there for you. Even though we're far apart, I'm only a text or a phone call away. And when that's not enough, remember I'll be there soon. I can't always be by your side physically, but please know that I am always in your corner. Whenever you need someone, know that I'm here. Anything you need, I'm so happy to help. To my best friend, I miss you, I love you, and I'll be here for you- always.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
