As some of you know, I do a lot of things with meaning. For instance, my asymmetrical piercing, doubles on my left ear and singles on my right, has meaning to it. I first got my singles with my mom my first year in middle school. For me this signified walking this journey of life with my parents, hence two piercings. Later at 18, I went and got my doubles pierced on my left ear. I put a lot of thought into this because I didn’t want doubles on both ears, it ‘didn’t feel right’ to me. I decided to do one double on my left ear to signify my journey alone with out my parents. Kind of like an independence thing. So, if I were to get a tattoo, there would be meaning to that too.

This is an idea I have been thinking about. Each bird would have its own meaning. First bird would signify my friends that have died. The second bird would signify my personal battle with mental health and my desire to fight it. And the third bird, the one that will be closest to my heart is for the dreams I hold dear to my heart, a wish that it will come true.

For me, this would signify that whatever struggle I am going through, it will pass – just like a wave.
I have not went out to get these tattoos yet since I have yet to build the courage to do so, but once (and if) I do, I promise there will be photos! What tattoos would you get?
