If The Cast Of 'Parks and Recreation' Were On Your Sorority Exec Board

Within a sorority, there are so many positions open for the ladies to run for. Every position covers a different aspect of the chapters needs and requires a special person to fulfill that. If the women cast of Parks and Recreation were in a sorority, this is the positions they would each take on.

Leslie Knope: President

I think this position can talk for itself, Leslie Knope screams president in every which way. She is amazing at everything she does especially when it comes to leadership. Being able to pull that department together is equivalent to what she would have to do in a sorority. I do have to say that would be a bomb a$$ sorority to be a part of.

Ann Perkins: Vice President

No better person to be the side kick to the Leslie Knope other than the one and only Ann Perkins. Their ability to work as a team would be magic in the Greek world. They understand each other, spend endless amounts of time together, and bring out the best in each other. Ann is aggressive yet passionate and loyal making the best Vice President.

April Ludgate: Risk management

Although she acts like she does not care about a thing, April has one of the biggest hearts. She doesn't want to admit that she has feelings but she always has the best interest of others in mind. She would be able to inform the chapter of the dangers around campus and life while making sure they get home safe from sisterhoods, socials and parties. April might also like animals better than humans but who says that's a bad thing?

Tammy Two: Scholarship chair

Tammy is employed at the local library so she spends most of her time there. She has a special place in her heart for the education of others and would be able to easily keep track of the sisters' grades and study hours. She would do that in between harassing Ron of course.

Tammy One: Standards

Tammy One is a cold and scary woman who would definitely keep the chapter in shape. She would make sure that everyone is on their best behavior and staying out of trouble. With someone like that on your executive board, you would have a well-behaved chapter.

Joan Callamezzo: Public Relations

Joan is one of a kind, she loves to be the center of attention and report great things about herself while putting down others. She has the enthusiasm needed to communicate between her chapter and those interested.

Mona Lisa Saperstein: Treasurer

She may be the "worst person in the world" but she sure can get whatever she wants out of anyone. Yeah she may threaten to burn your house down but hey, at least she has everyone's dues on time.

Shauna Malwae Tweep: Philanthropy chair

Shauna, a sweet and caring young woman always willing to help those around her. She writes for the local paper and likes to showcase the good things people do but also participate them. She would spend her extra time organizing philanthropic events for the chapter to participate in to "Tweep up" the town, while also working with Joan to show the difference they are making in the community.

Donna Meagle: Membership recruitment chair

Ah recruitment, Bid day truly is the best day of the year. This is a week where the chapter truly does "treat yoself" and buy cute matching outfits for the duration of recruitment. Donna has great style, loves to be glamorous, and can help the chapter recruit the best new members.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
