Our favorite group of people is forever going to be the cast of Friends. Joey Phoebe, Monica, Chandler, Ross and Rachel defined friendship goals. They are all so different and they are very unique. I started wondering what schools they would end up going too if they were to go to Virginia Colleges. Which colleges would fit them the best given their personalities? After pairing them with certain schools, this is what I came up with.

1. Rachel would be at Christopher Newport University

Rachel was definitely hard to choose out of all of them because she'd pretty much be perfect almost anywhere. I chose CNU for Rachel, because of her sense of style and her attitude. Rachel grew up very rich and preppy then when she didn't marry Barry, she mellowed out. CNU is a mixture of both preppy and mellow. CNU is beautiful and so is Rachel!

2. Phoebe would attend VCU

Phoebe would definitely fit into VCU perfectly. She's the artsy hipster type and the city of Richmond would truly make her feel at home. She has a passion for flea markets, she's a vegetarian, her passion of music and her beliefs in the afterlife, make Phoebe a true hipster.

3. Joey would attend Radford University

This choice was so easy. Joey has it all and so does Radford. He's good looking, has a fantastic personality and is so easy going. Although Joey isn't the brightest crayon in the box, he is always there for his friends through any situation. And I mean who better to represent Radford than Joey?

4. Monica would attend Liberty University

This was a really tough choice for me. I went back and forth between Liberty, University of Richmond, Virginia Tech and William and Mary. I feel like all were good, but Liberty is where I could see Monica. She's strict and works very hard (like a lot of Liberty students) She'd be challenged and lord knows she loves challenge.

5. Ross would go to University of Virginia

This was a no brainer for me. Ross is perfect at UVA. He is the smartest of the Friends group and you have to be extremely smart to get into UVA. Ross is always referring to himself as "Doctor Ross Geller" and is always talking about something to do with dinosaurs and science. If Ross went to UVA, he'd more than likely refer to himself as "the fourth year."

6. Chandler would go to Virginia Tech

This may sound kinda odd, but Chandler is a Hokie. Virginia Tech would be perfect for him. Chandler is the glue of the friends group, much like VT being the glue to Southwestern Virginia. Without either, everything would fall apart. And much like Virginia Tech, Chandler is the butt of everyone's jokes

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
