Imagine if you were to wake up one day and find out that you only have today to live out the rest of your life, what would you do? ….

Figured it out yet?

No? Ok, I'll give ya another second to think about that….

Ok, second's up! What is it? Though question huh? Yeah, I thought so too. You see my greatest fear in life is dying, leaving this earth forever, leaving your loved ones as you go on… Its a deep and scary thought I know, but you see I had a dream one night and in this dream (more like a nightmare) I was hit by a car and killed instantly.

I woke up crying that night. Once I calmed down it had me thinking… in today's world you honestly truly are never promised a tomorrow with all the anger, hate and danger going on in the world today you really never know when and the last time you will see someone is… As I thought more about it, I thought "If today was my last day would I want my friends and loved ones to know? Or would I want them to know?" Well, you see I've been thinking about it a lot lately, actually almost constantly and here's what I've come up with….

Mom- Where do I start? I would be nothing without you, you have been my constant rock throughout my whole life. Thank you for all of the sacrifices you have made for me, and doing it with so much grace and dedication and determination. I will never be able to repay you for all you have done. Please know this one thing which is that I love you soo soo soo much!

To my best friends - Ladies… we've had the best of times and we've had our worst of times, I mean let's face it, what friendships don't have highs and lows? I don't know how I would have made it this far without you three… you are the ones I go to with everything. The good news the bad news, or even if I just need a little bit of help or just some advice, or a shoulder to cry on and have someone let me know that its all going to be ok, you've all been there, through it all.

You guys are the ones who have truly brought me out of my shell, I mean hey, before we all became close I was just that shy, little naive Christian school girl and you guys so know it too! I want to thank you for always being so truthful with me and for never sugarcoating the truth for me, you ladies keep it real with me and that's all anyone could ever ask for in her friends but also a huge thank you for always having my back in anything and everything. Its greatly appreciated.

To my sister- You are the absolute biggest pain I have ever met! Its so true and you know it too! You are stubborn, hard-headed and relentless! But you are also one of the kindest, non-judgemental human beings I have ever met. We always have been polar opposites, and I think deep down we have always been jealous of each other but that's what sisters do.

We've been through so much together and we're still here we've made it this far together. We always had made a great team. In case I never get to tell you this, I know you have the brightest future of anyone I know, the future is yours. Go after your dreams because I know if anyone… you'll be the one to achieve your goals in life. I love you, sis, I always have...

To my little brother- Well little dude, you're not so little anymore you've grown into an amazing young man and I am so proud of the person you a becoming, you are such a kind and caring young man. You are the only teenage boy I know with a heart of pure gold. You're going to make a girl very happy someday I can promise you that. I want you to know that I want nothing but the best for you and that I love you, lil bro.

Dad- Well… things have always been rocky between us, we've never seen eye to eye on anything and I can bet its safe to say that we disagree on pretty much everything but that's alright because our "relationship" taught me that you can't make a person change they are the only ones who can make the change, that is, if they want too. You've made mistakes and whether you have learned from those mistakes I will probably never know but that's ok because I have. I have learned from your mistakes and I have also learned who I want to be and who I hope to never be. Even though we have had our share of fights, you are my father and I do love you, and I really hope you do know that.

To my first love, my first heartbreak - I don't even know how to start this… Ok so it's gonna be a bit cliche but I always thought you were going to be the one, the one I would end up with, the one who I would get to spend my happily ever after with, we had everything for it the friendship built up solely on trust, our taste in music and a mutual attraction was inevitable. I had dreams of a future with you, but that didn't last long…. You were the first time I experienced heartbreak from the guy I loved.

I was shattered, broken inside but you seemed alright, you were. I eventually picked myself up. I am better now and I am over it, it is in the past. Life is too short to spend it being mad at someone. I am truly over it and I can now fully say that and mean it. I hope you have a great future I hope you get to marry the girl of your dreams, even if it's not me. I hope you end up happy in life and I hope you and your family go far, I really do wish you nothing but the best.

Now that you all know what I wanted you all to know about my relationship with you, here are a few things I would like you to know about me and what my thoughts on things are. Firstly I have always tried to be the best person I could possibly be if I did a good job at that, then that is up to you all. I have also tried like hell to keep everyone in my life happy but I have learned that that is truly an impossible task. But the last thing you all need to know about me is that not only am I proud of the person I am today I want you to know that I have tried and always have gave my all in everything I do and I am truly happy with the person I am today...

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
