If Gossip Girl Characters Were College Football Teams

The world of college football is more like the Upper East Side than you think.

The world of college football is crazy. There is lying, cheating, scandals, drama, and anything else you can think of... It reminds me of another place I know of called the Upper East Side. While this may sound like a bit of a reach, it really isn't. The back and forth between the coaches of our favorite teams is enough to rival the Lily-Rufus-William love triangle, and Alabama and Clemson have faced off about just as many times as Blair and Serena. Here's a breakdown of College Football Teams as our favorite UESers.....

Alabama: Blair Waldorf

Alabama is always on top... but also a little bit of a bully. You either love them or you hate them, but that doesn't take away from the fact that they're always winning and no matter how much it pains you to admit it, they're not bad.

Clemson: Serena Van Der Woodsen

Flawless and effortless, everyone wants to be them. There's something about them that you just have to like, even if you're not rooting for them. Blair might be the queen bee because she rules with an iron fist, but when Serena really wants to, she can easily take Blair down. Have we forgotten the 2017 National Championship already? It vaguely reminds me of that time Serena pushed Blair into a cake of season 3 of GG.

Ohio State: Nate Archibald

Ohio State is as consistently good as Nate Archibald is consistently attractive. Both are not without scandal and controversy, though. Remember the time former Ohio State Coach Jim Tressel resigned over the infamous tattoo scandal? Or the time when Nate was sleeping with Blair's boyfriend's stepmother who also happened to be sleeping together? Confusing, I know, but not enough to overshadow how much we like them.

Washington: Dan Humphrey

Never in my life have I met a hardcore Washington fan, and that's a lot considering I know some die-hard Iowa fans (Hi Uncle David!). Nobody really knows or cares much about them, like the Lonely Boy we all know and tolerate. They were good last season and had their chance, only to come in fourth place. It was a nice effort, but no one really cares. Who knows? Maybe Washington is going to start a Gossip Blog where they exposes all the other college football teams. NGL, I'd be here for it.

University of South Carolina: Vanessa Abrahams

Mind-bogglingly annoying and always getting mad about things that aren't actually relevant, Vanessa and the University of South Carolina share a lot of similarities. I could go into extensive detail about how these two get on everyone's last nerve, but you already know what I'm talking about.

You know you love me... xoxo.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
