Bad day? ICE CREAM.
Good day? ICE CREAM.
Average day? ICE CREAM.
Passed a test? ICE CREAM.
Failed a test? ICE CREAM.
No excuse? ICE CREAM.
Seriously, ice cream is always an option and never a bad choice! Sure, it can seem like a serious addiction, but it could be worse, right? Who doesn't love some ice cream when you're having a rough day...or a great day? Ice cream is one of the best comfort foods and rewards.
I'll admit, I'm spoiled, I have one of the best homemade ice cream stands within walking distance from my house. So naturally, I get ice cream from there anywhere from three to five times a week. We even have a family system on who gets ice cream for everyone on what days. We also understand that rainy days are when it will be the least crowded and the most ideal time to get copious amounts of ice cream for everyone. I also have absolutely no shame going and getting ice cream for myself and by myself, because who doesn't love sharing a wonderful treat with themselves?
I have an addiction, and the first step of accepting that is admitting that I have a problem.
Just the other morning, I knew I was going to have a not so stellar day, so I made the wonderful life choice of having ice cream for breakfast. I can happily say it helped me force my day to be a good one. I have zero regrets.
There have been countless times that I have had ice cream for dinner as well, and let me tell you...there is nothing wrong with eating ice cream for every meal.
It is also quite rare that I will say no to ice cream more than once within the same day. I don't care how hot, how cold, how damp, how dry, how humid, or whatever other kind of weather it is outside, I will ALWAYS get ice cream even if it requires some suffering. Any amount of suffering to acquire ice cream is endlessly worth it.
If I had to choose one thing that I could eat for the rest of my life, only one thing, there is no question that I would pick ice cream...
So don't feel guilty the next time you indulge in a little bit of sugary goodness; it is most definitely worth every spoonful.
