In the next few weeks, the list of things I have to do and take time to prepare for seems never-ending. Between studying for exams, finalizing projects, keeping up with sorority things, and club activities, I've had to find some ways to wind down and de-stress when I have the time.
1. Go to a coffee shop and do some work.
Sounds super basic (and it is), but just being able to go somewhere with limited distractions can help you be way more productive than doing work in your room or at the library with friends. (For USC students, Cool Beans is honestly my favorite because it's so close to everything and their coffee is the bomb).

2. Walk outside.
Pop in some earbuds and play some music that makes you happy and relaxed, and go for a walk outside - you'll be able to be in your own little world and calm down but still be around people (A nice walk around the horseshoe when it's not too hot out is the best).

3. Workout!
This can literally be going on a treadmill on a super slow setting, but it counts. Sometimes I'll watch review videos or bring a book for a class while I'm on the treadmill or elliptical to at least feel like I'm multitasking, so even if I'm not entirely productive, I tried. Also, you'll feel more energized after working out and be able to power through a massive to-do list. (I also tend to want to eat healthier, so working out wasn't a complete waste which is also a plus).

4. Plan your Halloween costume!
Get spooky! Get ready for Halloweekend and plan a cute outfit with your girls! Some of my favorite ideas are: Cheetah Girls, aliens, Mean Girls (good for a group, Regina George is super easy to do though by yourself), Lilo & Stitch can be a cute couples costume, and so many more options - Pinterest is a good place to look! (my friends and I are doing the Wizard of Oz for one night).
5. Clean out your closet!
Go through your clothes and donate things you know you will never wear, but you can also have a big clothes exchange with your friends and get "new" clothes without spending a dime. Something that I think is really fun is taking t-shirts I haven't worn either because they're the wrong size or just not that cute, and then cutting them up and making cute crop tops/bandeau tops.
