This may be a lot of repetitive words and sayings that you hear often, but it’s something that should be repeated as many times as possible.
I look at human beings all as different parts of a body -- bones, organs, muscles, etc. We all have different functions in order to help the body as a whole, but if we do not work together, the body will begin to fail us. That’s why we should work with each other, not against one another.
Before, I did not have this look on life. Then I realized that is part of the reason why I struggled getting along with people, understanding them, their motives, actions, etc. One event happened in my life that made me think about how much time I had wasted on useless trivial fighting when all I really had to do was listen, and take the right sort of action. Ever since then, I won’t say my life has gotten easier, but it has become less stressful.
Here are some of my opinions on world matters that are damaging our huge body.
Gender
Yes, it is true that there are some things that men and women can and cannot do, but no one should tell either gender what that is. It isn’t your job to judge someone, it isn’t your job to tell someone how they should live their life. That is their own choice. No man should be considered a jerk because he looks nice and no woman should be considered a slut because of the way she dresses. The more everyone calls other people things, the more reason they have to call other people the same things.
Politics
The divide of the politicians running for office should not divide the whole country. Didn’t we already learn about what this could lead to? We don’t need another war between ourselves when there are other people, not part of us that want to rage war. We are supposed to learn from our history so we don’t make the same mistakes. I believe we all need to brush up on some good ol' American history. Now, some people are put in power because they earned their right to be there, but someone in power can easily take advantage of what they just gained. That’s when our country needs to come together and take some medicine to clear away the virus that has entered our body.
Race
Racism is very real, to this day. Anyone who does not believe this is part of the problem. We all need to be treated equally, so when one race believes that they are not being treated as they should, we should listen and analyze the problems, then fix them. Now, I will say we cannot go on assuming that everyone is racist, and we shouldn’t judge those who are trying to fix what they were taught wrong. If something is offensive, kindly tell the other person that you find it offensive, if they do not stop, take yourself out of the situation.
There are a lot more issues that could be addressed, and I could go on forever about these subjects and, soon, a lot of what I say will become repetitive if I do go on. All I can say is what I said at the beginning. We are all part of one big body; we each have our own functions in the world, and we need each other in some sort of way. Instead of judging one another or hurting one another, appreciate individuals and what they can do for you in your life. Love the human being next to you and treat them how you wish to be treated. Let karma, or the big guy, take care of all the toxicity in the world. They’ve got it, so don’t put that worry and stress on yourself.
