Sometimes, we just need a hug.
From our favorite person, a hug can make anything better. It can change your mood from any sort of negative thing to happy, comforted, relieved, anything else. After you hear great news, what do you do? Run to tell your favorite person, and hug them. It makes you even happier; it’s a way to celebrate. What about when you hear bad news? You cry to your favorite person, and they hug you. It gives you some comfort in your tough times.
There is no shame in needing to ask for a hug from someone you love. We all have our moments.
Plus, imagine your greatest friend coming to you for a hug. You know they need you, and honestly, you probably need it to – for one reason or another.
I encourage you today to go out and hug someone, anyone– your best friend, parent, a stranger (with consent, of course). Make someone’s day better and make your own day better.
