Reasons Why The Goofy Girl Loves Differently

Have you ever gone out somewhere and seen a person who looks just legitimately happy? With all the things going on in life, they are able to smile, laugh and have a good time. Yep, that person is me. I like to think of myself as goofy. I am the kind of person who dances like no one is watching, even if everyone is watching, sings along to a song in the grocery store aisles, laughs too hard at the dumb jokes normal people chuckle at, and genuinely has a positive outlook on life. Girls who are goofy love completely different than those who aren't, and here is how.

1. No matter the situation, we can make it into a good time.

For instance, walking down the grocery store aisles can be probably the least exciting thing, unless you're goofy. Then you like to sing along to the music playing and dance with your shopping cart. Or going shopping can quickly turn into an episode of "What Not to Wear."

2. A girl with a goofy heart will always try to make you smile, always.

I work with kids throughout the year and my favorite things to ask them when they are crying because they bumped their shin is, "Oh no! Do we need to cut off your leg?" and it never fails to make them smile and giggle.

3. We're cheap dates.

Looking for a last minute date idea? Take us on a car ride and blast some music. Guaranteed to have a blast.

4. Goofy girls don't get embarrassed easily.

Singing, dancing, laughing and tripping. All things done all too often by girls who are too goofy for their own good. When I trip and fall, which I do way too often, all I can do is laugh and say, "Man, I wish someone was recording me!"

5. Get us around other goofy people and your cheeks will hurt from smiling and your stomach will ache from laughter.

My family is where, thankfully, I inherited every goofy trait. When we go out to dinner at a restaurant, hopefully that server knows how to handle crazy loud people, and hopefully everyone around doesn't mind explosive laughter and the occasional spray of water from our mouths.

6. Be ready for umpteen amounts of Snapchats.

Snapchat is by far my favorite form of social media. The filters take you from garden goddess to sideways singing blob in a matter of ten seconds. Recording yourself sneezing and then putting in slow motion is probably the funniest thing ever FYI.

7. Taking a goofy girl to bar – you already know.

Being goofy, you don't need alcohol to have fun, but occasionally we run into a drink or six. Karaoke on a Thursday? Of course. Knowing every single move to Silentó's "Watch Me" and killing it on the dance floor? Duh. Needless to say, we like to have fun and don't care what people think.

8. A goofy girl always knows how to have fun, but knows when the time is right.

Us girls who are goofy probably have the biggest hearts. All we want is to see everyone happy. When a sad situation comes along, I can guarantee we will be there in a heartbeat to listen and be a shoulder to cry on. Although we may be goofy 95 percent of the time, we have a heart of gold and only want the best for everyone.

Goofy girls are the best people to love because no matter what, you will love life. Being around someone who has such a positive outlook and can laugh in any situation is someone you want to marry. That person will be your best friend and every day you wake up, be prepared for a new adventure. So what are you waiting for? Go out and get your goofy on!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
