We all grew up with her even if we chose to or not. Whether it be her hits on the radio, your older sister forcing her music on you, or you're just a true Swiftie. Life as Taylor Swift is something people dream about, but since her crazy curls to her knew Anna Wintour-like new do, she has created some pretty memorable songs. It's hard to forget the first time you heard Fearless or when you saw her live at Gillette in the rain (magic), but it's also hard to come to the realization that although you may have t been living vicariously through her since you were 10, you are not Taylor Swift. Here are some realistic takes on her unrealistic songs.

1. Fifteen

Taylor Swift's freshman year seemed to be far more eventful than mine and during my freshman year I would hear the words of her song running through my head. "Hoping one of those senior boys will wink at you and say, 'you know, I haven't seen you around before'". I mean good for her you guys. If she had senior boys winking at her her freshman year than I think that deserves a round of applause. My freshman year I was just coming out of my peak awkward phase, had braces, and was obsessed with soccer and Teen Wolf (...still love Teen Wolf though don't get me wrong, great show).

2. Shake It Off

A statement that is much easier said than done. In her music video she is having so much fun and dancing around, not caring what anybody thinks of her. Something we all strive to achieve yet it is sometimes an uphill battle. And I learned that sometimes, it is really, really hard not to care.

3. Our Song

The only thing that upsets me about this fantastically upbeat song is that I will never be able to come up with a song as clever and cute as Taylor's bf did in this imaginary scenario. You win some, you lose some I guess.

4. Speak Now

Again, I love how Taylor encourages us all to speak up and say how we feel but girl, that's a lot harder when you are me and can't even order pizza on the phone without being nervous. Also, I can't say that I have ever been in the situation where I have had to crash a wedding and confess my love to a man getting married...but who knows what the future holds!

Don't get me wrong, I love T-Swift, I'm just saying that you can't expect your life to be just like hers. And of course her songs are slightly embellished but I have been able to take away that life does go and that you should try your best to speak your mind, be open to new things, and don't let things get you down.
