Sporting events ranging from the Olympics to E-Sports all hold a place in people’s hearts. These sorts of sporting events brings competitors of the highest level up against one another, and seeing or participating in them is a special moment for everyone. At such events, there is always exclusive gear to get and seeing the emotions and the commitment that goes into competing really makes the crowd become one with the competitor.

Being a competitor in such sports brings a whole new diversity to what a sporting event is like. You get to engage with other people that have the same interest as you and want to win as well. There tends to be a mutual respect among all competitors. Experiencing a sporting event as a competitor for the first time feels surreal and makes shines a light on the feeling of accomplishment, which is crucial within a sport.

Regardless if a competitor wins or loses in a sporting event, the memories of the sporting event will remain afterward. One tends to make connections and make friends while at a sporting event. Of course, people that win a tournament would have more fond memories than those that did not win the tournament, but overall, one will remember a sporting event based on the sheer experience.

A lot of benefits go towards being a competitor, such as having travel, hotel, and food paid for and doing exclusive interviews. Also, being able to meet fans or people that have been with you and supporting you for a long time really feels amazing and unreal. To be able to turn a dream into reality is something to be celebrated and cherished. Being in the shoes of a competitor is completely different than being in the shoes of a fan, even though both parties are rooting for the same thing.

Fans of sporting events tend to feel the same energy that a competitor feels at a sporting event, except that they see the action from a third person point of view. From start to finish of a sports life, there will always be the competitors that were dominant and people remembered. Yet also there will be times where some sort of unorthodox play or bizarre event occurs that fans will remember for the existence of a sports life.

No matter the sport, as long as there is a fan base, the sport will continue to be something that brings people together and lets people of similar interests be a part of something bigger. Sports are similar to that of music, movies, or any other form of entertainment. They are a part of our lives and allow for moments within sports to be moments in our own life.A lot of jobs, dreams, and memories are made from sporting events in the same sense that music or movies do. Being able to experience such an event leaves people talking about it for the next few months, years, or even decades. Sports will always be a part of people’s life, not just because the competitive nature in every person is growing stronger.

There is always a desire to be the best at something, so long as people are motivated to continue to try and be the best, there will always be a following. As long as there is passion to experience sporting events, no matter the type of sporting event, there will always be something new to look forward to.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
