College can be a very stressful at times because it seems like everything tends to come due at the same time. Trying to balance your social life, for some students work or a greek chapter, and school work on top of everything. Trying to balance everything can sometimes be stressful, here are four ways to de-stress your life.

Meditation

Meditation is a very common stress relieving technique, and there is a variety of different meditation techniques. Like deep breathing or visualization. A lot of research has been done on the benefits of meditation. Research has found that meditation can help improve your cognitive performance and lower your heart rate and blood pressure.

Exercise

Exercise can be a great way to relieve stress. With a lot of different exercise options it'll keep you from getting bored from doing the same thing over and over. A great type of exercise that has been proven to help with stress is yoga, there is even yoga poses that are just for de-stressing. Going on a nice relaxing walk outside or even going to the gym will help you release endorphins and relax.

Get Social

Sometimes there is nothing better than just talking to your closest friends and just getting everything off your chest. Your friends can even offer a fresh perspective to help you solve the reason behind your stress.

Crafting

Sometimes just separating yourself from your stress can be helpful and putting your focus elsewhere. DIY new decor for your apartment or even the adult coloring books that are super popular right now can be an easy fast break from life. It's almost a trip down memory lane and reminds me of the crafts I'd do as a kid.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
