It’s been four years. Eight semesters. One thousand, four hundred and sixty days since I entered college and I’m still not done.
There are a lot of people that are in the same boat as me and want more than anything to be done with college forever. Many of us still have another semester, or in my case, another year and I’m here to tell you, that you can definitely make it through, and you will!
To everyone that is a senior in college right now, like me, but still feel like they have so much time until graduation, don’t worry, you will make it through and when you do, you’ll understand why it took you longer than all of your friends who only took four years in finish school.
Watching so many of the friends that I have made throughout the years finish school and leave is one of the saddest things that I have experienced while in school. While being in school, I have learned so much from being in school and from all of my friends that are now leaving and starting their lives outside of school.
I can’t wait to see what my friends will do in the “outside world”, but I have one thing to say about you all leaving before me. You guys suck. Every part of me wishes that I was graduating with all of you this month, but I’m not and that makes me so sad. I look so forward to seeing pictures of you guys on Facebook and watching your future unfold at your feet as you start your journey to a new career. I can’t wait to be in your shoes, but I still have at least another year for that.
To all of my friends graduating this semester, I love all of you, and congratulations for finishing school. I am very jealous of all of you because I wish I were in the same. We have all watched each other grow up and become these totally different and incredible people throughout our four years here.
I wish you all luck in everything that you want to accomplish once school is finished, and I know that every single one of your will succeed and do great things in the future. I wish more than anything that I was graduating this semester, but I know that my life has a plan for me, and for everyone that wishes they were graduating this semester. We will make it through!
