How Going To A Christian College Has Impacted Me
Destiny Mullins

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

I came to a Christian college not knowing what to expect. I was not really raised in a religious household and I hadn't been to church in a couple of years. I came to this college because I would not be in that much debt and it was just the right size that I would not have to worry about being in a classroom with a hundred plus students in there. But also because for the first time ever, I felt that I was being called to do something. Something was telling me that this was where I needed to be and boy oh boy, I'm glad that I was called to be here.

Going to a Christian college has impacted my life in so many ways.

I have not only grown so much stronger in my faith, I have met amazing people who keep me on track and are teaching me everything that I do not know. I have met lifelong friends through this college and I have already made so many memories. I have only been in college for two months and it has been the best two months of my life.

When I decided to come to this college I thought that I would be judged because I was not raised in a religious household, but I now realize that people here come from all walks of life. I have met so many different types of people here and nobody cares if you used to be a wild child, if you weren't raised in a religious household, or if you are not strong in your faith. All they care about is helping you grow closer to God!

People here do not judge, they love everyone. I never realized how close I could be to people that I wasn't related to until I came here. I can trust almost everyone and I can talk to anyone about my problems I am having, rather it be questions about my faith, boy troubles, or even needing help for picking out my outfit for a girls night out. I have made friends with so many people that I can also call family.

I could not have made a better choice of what college I went to. I highly recommend to every high school student or anyone wanting to go back to college, go to a Christian college! Some people do not love it but it has been the best decision I have ever made.

I could not ask for a better place to call my home for the next four years. I could never imagine going anywhere else.

So for the next four years, I will be a Williams Baptist College student and I would not want to have it any other way.

Shout out to WillyBap for giving the best years to come!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
