People today decide the way of admiring someone is to talk highly about them, but now it seems like we talk more bad about people than we do good. We let people go on and on thinking that we like every little thing they do, but not all of us even have the nerve to point out the flaws or the things we disagree with. So the majority sit and talk and nag to the point where we think of someone solely as what others say. This then comes to be that a person will lose confidence in themselves about how they feel, yet will remember how people disliked every little detail and how they could not even have the audacity to say it their face. So why is it okay now talk down so much on a human being with the free will to live life?

Today's society has let people know that self-love is a large, evident thing in life that one should fully embrace. Logging into any social media platform, the average person will see so much of this that is evident and most will full-heartedly embrace this idea. Though with people who agree, there are others who will always voice their disapproval even when it's not needed. This seems to be obvious in several movements where it seems to be controversial how people view themselves and the community that surrounds them.

One can look at how people view the body. Some believe that it is the temple and that we should treasure it wholeheartedly, yet others want to decorate it in ways they see fit. This seems to be a hugely controversial topic within the workforce and within religion for many reasons. This then leads to how people feel in their own body, which should always be comforting because they deal with it day in and day out. That being said, many are getting onto others for either being too small or too large, which is absolutely absurd. Many bodies hold weight differently for the way they develop and the height of the person, so why should it matter what a person looks like? A plus-size model was recently scorned by the agency strictly for the fact that she lost weight to be healthier in her own skin and she was pleased with herself. I feel like no person should ever feel that they have to explain why they want to lose or gain weight because no opinion should matter but their own, yet society has created an "ideal" body for everyone and it's harming people's self-confidence if they are not somewhat close.

Another aspect of controversial debate is the opinions on the "Black Lives Matter" movement, which seems to be ridiculous. People feel confident with their heritage and how they were raised, so why should any one person, or group, be scorned for feeling the pride they feel? We can walk around strutting flags, states and other things, but why not let a group do the same? Yes, the past was the past and a lot of things happened that were unfair to either side of the debate, but at the end of the day, people deserve respect and love. These people are tired of the times that they are still facing and are ready to feel the equality that every single person in any country wants. We are supposed to live in 'The Land of the Free' and that is what any one of those people want to feel. The want to feel the equality to any person they see on a daily basis.

Today's society is making us lose our tolerance for an opinion that is outside of our own, and it is honestly tiring for you to gain nothing in life except a biased mindset. We are so accustomed to what we think and what we see, yet we cannot comprehend the ideas of another that can even be slightly different to others. Many people should be thinking about what they can learn from others for the sole fact that it opens their mind to things that they could have never thought of alone. But today, this generation has made outside opinions on anything seem inadequate and to be shamed. I am embarrassed by anyone who cannot learn from what is going on and to be open minded of all the intelligence floating through the air of each location. It is truly absurd that a beautiful country with great minds is being so close minded to things that are taking a great toll on the way we raise the future generations that will eventually be running ours. If you are not proud of what is going on in America, or the world, then maybe open your eyes, and heart, and make a change for once.
