College is four years of memories composed of late nights, lots of ice cream, and loads of fun. Moreover, these moments filled with laughter are the way they are because of the people you choose to surround yourself with. What’s even better is you have four years to make the most of getting to know these people and cherishing the time living life together.
One of the coolest parts of growing these friendships is actually getting to live with some of your best friends in a house. These are the friends you make breakfast with, the friends you talk about relationships with, and the friends who never judge you for eating Pizookies at 1 a.m. Take advantage of it, people, because these memories are priceless.
All of that to say, there is some pretty neat and funny stuff that goes down when you stick four to seven best friends together. These people get to know the ins and outs of you, what makes you tick, and the stuff to say that’ll literally make you pee your pants.
So, why wouldn’t you want to document these moments? I know I wanted to. That’s why last year, my roommate and I decided to start @humans.of.909, an Instagram account where we can post every funny moment to social media for all of our friends to see. And it’s was pretty much the best thing since Texas shaped French toast (lol).
When my roommate and I moved our sophomore year and added two more girls to the mix, we upgraded the account to @humans.of.hervey. Though we were sad to leave the original name, admittedly, the addition of two more personalities has added a lot to the mix.
Anyway, whether you’re a house of frat guys, SGA kids, or engineers, I’m a firm believer in posting all humorous house moments, no matter how embarrassing, for the public to view.
So, here’s to house Instagram accounts. Keep up the spirit. And everyone else, get on board, you’re missing out on the fun.
First off, we have the @treehousegirlies! They are a fun group of girls involved in various organizations on campus that just LOVE to have fun!
Next up we have the boys who pair up with these chicas, the @tree.house.boys. They are the self-proclaimed house boys for the girls on Montclair. Check it out.
Third on the list is the KRAK house (the initials of the girls who live there—good one, girlies).

And finally, last but definitely not least, the @humans.of.hervey girly gals. I am a tad biased to this account, but y'all, I mean, look at that like to follow ratio.
