You’re the people that life brought me by chance. I look at each and every one of you as the blessings you are not only in my life, but in the lives of everyone’s lives that you touch. You are all the best parts of me, and I would not change a thing about having any of you come into my life.

So here is what I hope you will always remember.

I would fight wars for you. Life is hard and making it through alone is something I hope you know you never have to do. Whether the last time we talked was a day ago, or a year ago, no amount of time is enough to make me not care about you with all of my heart. No battle is too big to fight if you have someone beside you to see that you make it through to the other side. Even in times where it may come that I can no longer be around, know that I am always your support system, and I am rooting for you to only have the best of everything through all the bad you may face.

Please know that I have appreciated everything you have ever done for me with all my heart. At times, I may seem impossible to work with, and at times it may seem like I take none of the help you are trying to give. However, whether you know it or not, every little bit helped. It may not have been clear that it did and it may seem as though I never listened, but I did. I heard you, and I thank you for every ounce of effort you gave to try to make my bad days worthwhile. I can never repay you for everything you have given to me, and I only wish I could give half as much back to you all.

I hope you know I would go miles and miles to help you. If you need tears dried from your eyes, a smile brought to your face, a hand to hold, or arms to hug, I would be there in the blink of an eye. Regardless of distance, time, or schedule, you come first to me always and nothing is more important to me than you. Life is a heck of a lot easier to face when you know you always have someone to count on, so please know you can always count on me.

Always remember that when I look back on my life thus far, the best times that come to mind are the ones that were spent with you by my side. I would never trade our memories for the world. I feel lucky to have been surrounded by people who would stay up all hours of the night playing board games (even if board games were not the ideal activity for some, you still rock for hanging in there), drive around town into the late hours of the night blasting the music so loud we could barely hear ourselves think, and dance shamelessly at the most random, yet most perfect times. We knew how to make the best of times out of these boring towns and for that reason, you have made these boring towns my favorite place to be.

I hope you always know that I never meant to become a burden. I know that my problems became immense weights around not only my ankles but yours, and for that I am sorry. I never meant to bring anything but joy, love, and laughs to your lives and I am sorry my life got in the way of that. I hope you realize that I may not have reached out in my trying times simply to keep my pains from invading your world. I still only had your best interest in mind even in my worst times.

Please know that if I have ever hurt you or made you anything less than happy, I am sincerely sorry. Especially with people as special to me as you in my life, I hope you know that I never have the intention to do anything but love and support you. However, we are all human and humans make mistakes. We hurt each other in ways we don’t even mean to, but life is too short to miss out on all the good for the small amount of bad we occasionally bring about with one another.

Please always remember how much love I have in my heart for you. Through both the good and the bad, my love is unconditional. Having you in my life has made each and every day have a constant bright light even when all the surrounding area was dark.

So thank you for the memories and for being the people you are, and always remember how grateful I am that you were a part of my story.
