As finals come to the end, and the Holiday season quickly approaches us, we are all itching to get home. Nothing is better than the bittersweet feeling of knowing that you will be home for a month... and there's nothing better than:
1. Seeing your friends and family- You no longer have to look at them on the little tiny screen. You get to see the real live version of your favorite people.
2. Showering- There is nothing better than taking a nice long, hot shower without flip flops on.
3. Food- It’s no surprise that college food isn’t the greatest so coming home and eating at all your favorite restaurants is actually a blessing.
4. Pets- Let’s be real, every time you see a dog on campus your heart skips a beat and you immediately miss your furry best friend back home.
5. Your bed- Yeah, egg crates make those thin mattresses more comfortable, but there's nothing like your own bed.
6. Your town- There’s something that just feels right about being home. You know exactly how to get everywhere and all the shortcuts. Coming home for break and seeing your town, you notice all the little changes that happened when you were gone.
7. Getting to reminisce- Going home and seeing people that knew you when you were little and even just in high school is really nice. They knew you before you went out into the big world and it’s nice to know how everyone’s doing.
8. Shopping- Hours are spent online shopping because it’s a pain to get to the mall at school, so when you can hop in a car and be at the mall within 10 minutes your heart is at ease.
9. Getting beautified- Even before you get home, you schedule your mani pedi, haircut and time to get your eyebrows waxed. After being away for so long, all are a must.
10. Driving- Getting back behind the wheel is weird after not being behind it for so long. But as soon as you put the keys in the ignition, you feel the freedom that you had just a few months ago.
11. Your house- Of course your room at school is as cozy as you can possibly make a 10x10 room shared by two people, but coming home to a fully furnished house filled with memories is enough to make you smile.
