The holidays can both be a stressful and happy for anyone. Going through the holiday season as a broke college kid can be so stressful that I just want to cuddle with my parents' dog "Munchkin." He's a old dachshund that has pretty much grew up with my brothers and I. These past few years during the holidays isn't the same because I can't cuddle Munchkin whenever I want. Dachshunds are one of those breeds that tends to be more on the dramatic side. Their actions are the loudest part of them aside from their bark. All of these Dachshund GIFs showcase how we are feeling during the holidays.

1. The feeling of being pushed.

Before we know it, the holidays are upon us. Many of us feel pushed into buying gifts and participating in holiday activities. By the time Halloween arrives, family is already talking about Christmas and the planning sometimes starts in the summer. There is that push to find the perfect gift. Black Friday has people pushing each other over for the deals of the season. The whole season is one giant push toward things that some people don't want to deal with. Just pushing over something is sometimes the cure to the stress of being pushed into one direction.

2. The feeling of going around in circles.

Little Suzy wants a doll and has said it for months that she wants this specific doll. She comes up to you saying that she doesn't want the doll anymore because she found a better toy. It had taken you so long to find the doll that you were running in circles around the stores and the internet. It feels like you are taking a ride on a broken record player.

3. The feeling of being yelled at.

Everyone's emotions are riding a roller coaster during the holiday season. One feels it when they work in customer service. Working in customer service during the holidays gives you a thick skin because the holidays the customer's voices start squawking louder and the requests get more outrageous. During those times, one has to take it and start humming holiday songs.

4. The feeling of being ignored.

The feeling of everyone ignoring your stress level that is obvious through the fake holiday smile at parties and other activities. When the children, who don't want to help with the decor or the other activities, are playing on their tech and only participating when necessary. If I didn't help, as a child, my parents would yell at my brothers and I making us feel like crap. Sometimes we have to use our claws and dig on people for attention.

5. The feeling of complete bliss.

When the holidays are done and you can go back to reality. It shows after all the stress and other negative energy that the final day of the holiday is full of complete bliss. All the prep is finished and is ready to be enjoyed. The holidays are about to end in a few works and the thought of diving into a vacation is already upon me.

The holidays are a beautiful time of year. The stress of the holidays are the worst. When I used to get stressed, I would snuggle with my dachshund Munchkin. Since he is now my parents dog and I don't live with them anymore, I can't snuggle with Munchkin when I'm stressed. The holiday season is a stressful time and I miss my puppers. I miss his dramatics since it often portrayed my feelings perfectly

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
