Ah it’s finally April. But April doesn't just mean that were getting some nice weather. For high school seniors, it means they’re starting to come to their last days of what they’ve known for 12 years. Graduation may seem far away but honestly, it’s here before you know it. It get’s you thinking, “What have I done?” or “Have I made my mark?” Well seniors, having graduated almost a year ago now, I’ve compiled a list of things I did, or think you should do before that final bell.

1. Put Old Feuds To Rest

We all have petty feud’s or grudges whether we admit it or not. But the reality is, a year from now, your life will be completely transformed. There’s not point holding onto the past. When you're able to laugh about it later its much better than being mad at them for the pettiest reasons

2. Senior Ditch Day

Maybe it isn’t the best idea to encourage you to skip class but I’m doing it. In the spring when you’re committed to college, or know whats coming next, it’s good to reward yourself with a day of fun with your friends, because the reality is there’s most likely never going to be another day like that.

3. Go To Prom

You are not too cool for prom I don’t care what you think. So many of the greatest high school memories come from prom. Years from now you can look back on all your award pictures and laugh at all the preparation that goes into one night, but also smile at the great memories it makes.

4. Senior Prank

The entire senior class should always do a prank. My senior class decided to make the senior hallway a beach. Seeing everyone's faces was priceless. Our administration threatened to take things way which honestly made it even funnier.

5. Tell Your Crush You Like Them

Honestly, you’re going to regret it if you never do. Again, you’re very likely to see them very little, if you ever do again. Stop worrying about the person laughing at you or not feeling the same way because you are moving onto so many bigger and better things.

6. Senior Spirit Week

In my high school we had a week at the end of the year where the seniors had a different theme each day, but we were the only ones to dress up, and again it was hilarious, and i have many interesting pictures from this week. It made seniority's temporarily subside when you see everyone looking ridiculous and the confused faces of under classmen.

7. Thank your favorite teachers

It may seem stupid, but they don’t hear it enough, and you're going from seeing them every day, to maybe on breaks. I made sure I did this because without my favorite teacher, high school would’ve been a much different place. I wasn’t a fan of high school, but they made it bearable.

Lastly, just enjoy every single moment. You’re almost there so stop racing to the finish line, and just enjoy the ride.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
