Hidden Features In Every Car
bmwblog.com

Since the beginning of time, people have found a way to get around and travel to other places. We have come really far since the days of horseback riding as means of transportation. Most people of legal driving age in the USA have their own car. There are all kinds of cars too, but they all have some really cool features that have been kept secret from the world until this point in time. Many people don’t know about some of the amazing features that come in their very own vehicles! That’s where I come in, I hope you find this piece super informative and you are able to use this knowledge and apply it to your own life!

1. Headlights

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “I already know about headlights! I use them all the time at night so I can see where I’m going! This article is trash!” But don’t go away yet! What would you do if I told you that headlights can be (and are supposed to be) used during the rain EVEN IF IT IS DAY TIME!! That’s right, your headlights also serve the purpose of allowing other people to see you during times of low visibility!

2. Brakes

This is another one that everyone knows they have, but doesn’t know when to use properly, due to either misinformation or negligence of said information. The proper way to use your breaks is a slow and steady halt. While you may think that you are supposed to break as suddenly as possible and play the game “how late can I break without hitting the car in front of me,” this is not the correct method for break usage.

3. Cruise Control

While this particular feature does not come in EVERY single car, most cars do have this as and option. Check the areas surrounding your steering wheel for your cruise control buttons. Cruise control fixates your car on one speed so that those cars behind you don’t have to speed up and slow down when your foot can’t keep the gas pedal in the same place for more than two seconds.

4. Turn Signals

Last but not least, this is the most helpful and the least used feature in vehicles. This lever allows you to indicate your intentions to the cars around you. Turn signals are used for telling people things like you will be turning onto another road soon and you are switching lanes. Believe it or not, this feature does not simply exist to show people that the parking spot someone is pulling out of is yours!

Again, I hope you learned something cool from this article and it helps you become a better driver!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
