Little sisters are some of the most important and influential people in your life. They are always there, always listening, always interested in your life, and most of the time always open to spending time with you. Sisters have a way of putting up with you at your worst and celebrating you at your best.

To my little sister, I know I don’t give you enough credit for being such an incredible little sister and there are a lot of times I owed you a thank you and it didn’t happen. So here’s to you little sis, and all the things I should have thanked you for a while ago.

Thank you for always going along on adventures with me.

You are my favorite person to grab and go on a spontaneous trip to get craft supplies, coffee or to the mall. You never question where we are going and you always make the most basic adventures some of the most memorable. Thank you for always jumping in the car with me and making it so special.

Thank you for being the best listener.

I don’t know how you do it but you have a way of knowing when to respond and when to just simply be there to listen. You know all the best times to roll your eyes or when to tell me I’m being ridiculous. I know I sometimes abuse my right to rant to you but you never complain. Thank you for being a person I can always turn to.

Thank you for the endless fashion advice.

You have an eye for style that I would love to say I taught you. But, you always have the answer to what shoes to wear, which necklace is better and the perfect scarf. You never roll your eyes when I ask for fashion help, you just go to work. Even though you may “borrow” from my closet frequently, I appreciate your advice.

Thank you for giving the best hugs.

I feel more at home when I hug you for some reason. You know when I need a little extra love; it’s like a sixth sense. Nothing beats hugging my little sister so thank you for all the times I hugged you a few too many times and you didn’t complain.

Thank you for dealing with me when I’m sassy and dishing it back when necessary.

I know I am sassy and sometimes a little too much, but you put up with me anyways. You put me in my place when I need it but I rarely ever thank you for it. Don’t ever stop this, you keep me in line and I appreciate it.

Thank you for singing with me in the car.

Nobody loves country music like you do so it’s always nice to have someone to sing Sam Hunt with. You never make fun of my singing, which I will be forever grateful for. Never stop singing with me.

Thank you for being my younger role model.

I know as your older sister it is my job to be a role model to you, but I look up to you just as much. You are fearless and authentic. The way you follow your passions is incredible and I strive to be like you. You never let the world slow you down which amazes me regularly.

So thank you little sis for everything you do. I can’t wait to watch you grow up because I know you will do some incredible things. The world is yours little one.
