There are some things I wouldn't change for the world. And there sure are some individuals that truly make the world a very beautiful place to be. Growing up in a family of brothers, I had plenty of younger years with them to toughen myself up and live out my vivacious tomboy days. It seems as a result, I can sometimes channel these brotherly inspired lessons and outlooks of mine to my soul sisters.

I have learned quite a thing or two from beloved friends of mine I am now fortunate enough to call my sisters. My sisterhood with my girls sparked their beginnings way back when at the all girls high school we attended. Even now through our college years, these ladies are everything I could want for a support system, spontaneous adventure crew, and admirable loyalty. Here are just a few examples of many beautiful things about having these girls by my side all this time.

1. Those embarrassing stories are priceless. And you can always tell them to strangers, at a party, the new boyfriend, or in the anonymous third person

2. You hear them over text (literally). Because after all this time, you can even imagine her body language and facial quirks to a tee

3. You know everything about that first date from the way he greeted your friend, to the way he said goodnight, or if she bailed earlier than planned and he (still) doesn't know that phone call was fake

4. Telepathy never fails. You know she knows. Having a bad day? Having a rough day at work? Having that annoying conversation with that certain avoided person? Thank goodness for her mind reading skills!

5. Shopping is easy. And you're so excited to give her that perfect gift. You might have picked it out months in advanced because you saw it and immediately thought of her. And maybe you unintentionally bought a second one for yourself since you couldn't resist

6. She's as weird as you are. And you love her for it. She has little quirks she does when she's thinking, when she's stressed, when's she's dancing and singing to herself, or when she's just spacing out. If there was a multiple choice test of her actions and thoughts, you'd ace it

7, She's your inner Beyonce. At certain times, you need a certain part of yourself to shine through. So you did deep. And you channel that part of your friend that you admire for just the perfect scenario

8. She shares her parents with you. Her parents are wonderful people, and are actually pretty cool. You're totally okay with their photo bombs. Her Mom's a sweetheart and loves to ask you about that boy or how your day went. And you love when her Dad tries to embarrass her or crack corny jokes, because hey you love a good laugh

9. You're each others leading ladies and plan to be for a long, long time. You already know which soul sisters you'll be sitting on a swing chair with remaniscing about the good ole' days seventy years down the road

10. She can't wait to see you. Even if it's only been a week. Even if it's been months. You both know that you'll pick right up like you were never even apart
