Is this the next big thing for tie enthusiasts?

Sneak Hype

Have you ever looked for something to wear that you hoped would catch the attention of everyone who saw it? Have you ever wanted to wear something unique and innovating? My answer to these questions are a resounding yes, but I didn't know what clothing item fit these questions' standards. Last year, while scrolling through Instagram, I came across a profile that was giving a shout out to a company named Hex Ties. Funny enough, I almost scrolled right past it before I decided to double check the gem that I had just found. Ever since I entered my junior year of high school I have had the motto of dressing to impress; as a result, finding this tie company was a real treasure.

Sneak Peak

Hex Tie is a company in New York, founded by Enrique Alejandro Peral, that has taken the traditional tie and reinvented it. The ties have been inspired by the architecture found in the heart of New York City. One unique factor, inspired by the skyscrapers of New York, are the shapes that are found throughout the collection. For example, the Hex Tie Black Diamond, was a product of inspiration by the iconic skyscrapers of 34th Street. The company has now expanded its reach in modern fashion by extending their product line from only ties, to belts, watches, and multiple accessories.

A Look Behind The Makings

Another factor that contributes to the uniqueness of Hex Ties is the material that is used to create one of these beauties. Most of them consist of a lightweight matte black polyester embodying the recurring shape with their signature hexagon sitting on top of the sleek design. Other designs could consist of reflective polyester materials, such as the Hex Tie Emirates, or Titanium, much like the Hex Tie Ghost. Each tie is assembled by hand and then packaged in a premier way, which creates a sense of exclusivity and individuality.

Personal Experience

After I came into contact with Hex Ties for the very first time, I was hooked. I was a little disappointed at first to see the price tags on these gems, but I was then relieved to find out that the company has daily sales on their products. The very first tie I purchased was the Hex Tie Honeycomb Space Black for prom. I was looking for something that would not only grab the attention of others but also would crush the rest of the competition. The first time I wore the tie was at a wedding, and when I entered the church, the entire bridal party turned their heads in awe and said, "Nice tie!" One after the other, the compliments were endless. Since then I have purchased a belt for my next prom and will later purchase a tie as well.

Piecing it all together

I'm sure everyone has craved looking as attractive as possible, because I sure have. Hex Tie has the same vision in mind and will work to deliver nothing less than a unique and eye-catching product that is sure to be a good conversation starter. From the unique designs to the amazing packaging, Hex ties is recreating the world of fashion in a whole new way. I am excited to see where this company goes and how it will continue to evolve with its new inspirations and ideas.

SO, I've just recently had the fortunate experience to be reminded just how Michigan rains. Now, before you roll your eyes at me, I HAVE EXPERIENCED RAIN (in regards of the the popular joke that Californians haven't). However, I have to agree; after experiencing one of Michigan's thunderstorms (with my college's sirens blaring in the background), it comes to mind just how different "rain" is between the two states:

If you have been following me for a long time, then you know I write about two main things: relateable articles and communication media based articles. Now, it is time for me to combine the two. For those of you that don't know, I am a radio DJ at IUP, and I DJ for a show called BPM (Beats Per Minute). It is an EDM, or electronic dance music, based show and I absolutely love it.

6 Things Owning A Cat Has Taught Me

Owning a pet can get difficult and expensive. Sometimes, their vet bills cost hundreds of dollars just for one visit. On top of that, pets also need food, a wee wee pad for a dog, a litter box with litter for a cat, toys, and treats. Besides having to spend hundreds of dollars on them, they provide a great companion and are almost always there when you need to talk to someone. For the past six years, I have been the proud owner of my purebred Bengal cat named Spock. Although he's only seven years and four months old, he's taught me so much. Here's a few of the things that he has taught me.

It's fun to see all of the selfies on social media, they are everywhere. I see pictures with pouty lips, duck lips and pucker lips. I see smokey eyes, huge fake lashes and nicely done nose jobs, boob jobs and butt lifts. Women working out in spandex, tiny tops and flip flops. I see tight abs and firm butts, manicured nails and toes, up dos and flowing hair. "Wow", I think to myself," I could apply tons of make-up, spend an hour on my hair, pose all day and not look like that. Maybe I need a longer stick!"
