"Hello" By Adele Sets A New Record

Adele, we’ve missed you. It’s been years, and boy, are we glad to have you back.

If you’ve been on the internet at all in the past week, you’ve probably seen something about Adele’s new single, “Hello.” There’s no surprise that it’s already all over the radio.

The video was released on Oct. 22 and hit 27.7 millions views in the first 24 hours it was up. That’s 1.15 millions views per hour. That’s 19,167 views per minute. This set a new record for Vevo, which is known as the world’s leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform. This the first music video Adele has released since 2011. The previous holder of this record was Taylor Swift, coming in at 20.1 million views in the first 24 hours of her release of “Bad Blood” in May.

Adele is the kind of artist that will make you miss an ex that you don’t even have. I mean really. Check it out.

Hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done
But when I call you never seem to be home

Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I've tried
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart
Anymore

Ouch, my heart.

This single is from Adele’s highly anticipated album, 25, which is due to come out on Nov. 20. This will be her first album since her 2011 album, 21.

According to Adele, “My last record was a breakup record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make up record. I'm making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven't got time to hold on to the crumbs of my past like I used to. What's done it done.”

Adele, you have the voice of an angel. The world is counting down the days until Nov. 20.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
