For my whole life, Valentine's Day has never been appealing to me. What is the point of getting all dressed up and planning some big night for almost no reason. Why does this only happen one time a year? You can live life like Valentine's Day on any day you want. There is no reason to treat one day more special than another.
I thought once I got a boyfriend, my view on Valentine's Day would change. I can promise you, my view still has not changed. My boyfriend treats every date we go on like it is Valentine's Day. To me, Valentine's Day has always seemed like a scam to get a boy to dress up, take you out to a fancy dinner, see a movie, and spend the evening loving each other. My perfect Valentine's Day is a night in with a movie and pizza. I don't see the point of treating one day a year like it is something special. You should love your significant other like their special everyday.
Although I have a boyfriend, I don't like Valentine's Day. I feel like I am treated special every time we decide to go on a date. I don't like Valentine's Day, because I don't like to be fancy for one night. I don't like Valentine's Day, because I don't see the point in making one night glamorous and about love when you can make everyday that way. Whether you're spending the night with your significant other or if they're miles away, you can treat them special everyday.
Not everyone will agree with me on this, but I don't like Valentine's Day and I never have. I will never treat Valentine's Day different than any other day. A date with my boyfriend is always special. Neither of us like the idea of Valentine's Day and I like it that way. I appreciate that my boyfriend is okay with spending a night in with pizza and a movie. Valentine's Day is something I see as a priority and I like it that way.
