When the one week a year that college students look forward to is only a matter of days away, you can't help but get excited. Hearing your classmates' plans about sleeping the week away or traveling somewhere tropical might have you envious, but don't worry -- here are 10 ways to make this spring break the best you've ever had.

1. Plan your adventure ahead of time.

If possible, planning your trip or meet-ups with friends in advance will give you lots of time to figure out the important details, like a hotel or transportation. Plus, planning your week off early gives you lots of time to spend simply looking forward to the fun that lies ahead. Let spring break be the light at the end of the tunnel of midterms and term papers.

2. Download and utilize a ridesharing app like Uber or Lyft.

If you'll be getting lit this spring break, please don't drive. Partying isn't fun if anyone is in danger, so leave the transportation to an Uber or Lyft driver who can help you and your friends get home safely. Both apps offer a carpooling option so you can opt for cheaper fares while sharing a car with another passenger (or two).

3. Look your best.

Everyone knows that when you look good, you feel good. For an extra great week, take a few extra minutes a day to do your hair, pick out the cutest outfit, and look as "you" as you possibly can. Whatever your style is, rock it!

4. Check out discount travel sites for a vacation that won't break the bank.

Companies like Priceline and Kayak compare prices of hotels, airlines, cruises and more so that you can save money when you book your trips. Give yourself time to look through these websites before you book that ocean-view room in a five-star tropical resort.

5. Spend the holiday with your favorite people.

Spring break is all about taking a break from school and enjoying yourself, so make sure you're spending it with people you love. A day at the mall or the beach won't be any fun if you tag along with a bunch of people you don't care for. There's nothing wrong with spending time with your family either.

6. Try something new.

Getting out of your comfort zone and experiencing something for the first time is always a memorable thing. Whether it's something small, like eating a food you've never seen before, or something more dramatic like skydiving, odds are you'll remember it a few years from now.

7. Don't forget your camera at home.

A week like spring break has the potential for amazing adventures, memories and photos, so keep a camera or smartphone with you at all times. Even if you look a little tacky with your selfie stick, you'll capture a few moments of your life from your eyes, which are always the best to share. Plus, a camera roll full of drunken escapades will answer a lot of questions the next morning.

8. Get plenty of rest over the break, too.

School will keep you busy all day and keep you up all night working on a paper or worrying about grades. This week off is as much about relaxation, and catching up to your sleep cycle as it is about partying or travel, so sleep well!

9. Try your best to be as in the moment as possible.

Enjoying a less demanding time like spring break doesn't happen as often as we all would like, so enjoy it while it lasts! Don't waste a week of fun and unwinding by worrying about your classes when you could be worrying about where your next drink, party or nap will be.

10. No matter how you spend the week off, be productive.

If you want to remember spring break when you look back at your college years, you can't spend it in front of the television. Be spontaneous, be adventurous, be safe and have fun!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
