At last, the Valentine's Day season is amongst us. It's the time of flower and chocolate shopping, along with obnoxious couples sweaters paired with a cup of hot cocoa to start my morning. Anyways, not much has happened today. It is still 10:14 a.m and I have the shower running, so the water is warm once I jump in. I have to get ready for work because I need money to put into this long holiday season. Anyways, here is a story I want to share to everyone who reads these small snippets about my life. A story about how I found my Valentine.

I wanted to do everything alone. When I mean everything, I mean everything: hiking, taking drives, sightseeing, etc. Of course, I went to new places with my best friends, but I still did plenty on my own time. When it came to studying, I curled up in a study room and recited my outlines one by one aloud. I never thought about having someone by my side as I do these things. After I began my routine, I met you. We collided. I did not plan for it. I always followed by my schedule whether it came to schoolwork or friend gatherings.

But, you showed up. You grabbed me by the hand and announced that you liked me out of nowhere. I was surprised and perplexed as to why you would feel that way. I did nothing out of the ordinary. I lived my normal, monotonous life. My life was gray until you threw colors onto the walls and opened the shades to let light in my dim room. I did not know what was coming, but I did not mind it.

You allowed me to experience things that I never dreamed of trying to do. I started to build a better life for myself. I became stronger and began to intake the vitamins I needed to become well-nourished. I had put an end to my bad habits and it lead me to a happier, healthier life.

And with that, I want to wish you a happy Valentine's Day. I never thought I could manage to announce this message to the world publicly. I have written plenty of articles based on the feelings I have for you, but I do not think it does you justice. As cheesy as this holiday can be, I still enjoy the fact that you send me flowers to make me smile and manage to make this commercialized holiday even better with your presence.
