It's Pointless To Protest On President's Day

Since President's day just passed, I felt like I should write an article on the events that are occurring on this day.

Protesting this day and saying the oh so famous line "not my," and adding "president's day to it," is kind of annoying, and also it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Simply because President's day is to honor all of the president's that have passed, and formed, and shaped our country, not just the current one who some can't seem to accept.

It seems bizarre to me that these people will use anything any type of event, holiday, or public forum to protest. Go home!!!! It's time to move on and accept that the election did not go your way, and you will have to accept that Donald Trump is your president, at least for the next four years. If you don't like it, maybe you should go out and vote again at the next election, that would help your case more than attacking every single move the president makes. Attacking his family, his policies, him in general, will not change the results and it is getting really annoying for everyone else who has accepted it or even wanted it to hear that there is a new protest every single week over the same thing.

These are protests, these are whining over things that you can't change and frankly, it is getting old.

I want to be supportive, I want to support your right to protest, like I have, but this is just old at this point. It's time to accept what you can't change and start respecting the country you live in, and the people who lead over you because he is your president and it certainly is your President's Day.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
