Fast food is a weakness that American consumers just can't seem to shake; it's quick, easy, cheep, and often pretty delicious, too. On those nights we just don't feel like cooking, but also don't feel like sitting down for an hour or two at a restaurant, there are tons of options for a quick fix, but none are particularly healthy or environmentally conscious. If you've noticed this, too, you've been on the hunt for a new place to turn for fast food that won't raise your risk of cancer, heart attack, and diabetes. Let me introduce you to B.Good.
B.Good is an all-around amazing place. Started in late 2002 by two friends who wanted to create healthy fast food, B.Good uses wholesome ingredients, such as all-natural meats, seasonal vegetables, and quinoa. The use of seasonal vegetables and fruits and the fact that the menu slightly changes with the seasons ensures that customers are being served what tastes best at that particular time. Even better? All of their ingredients are locally sourced, and each location has a chalkboard with the names of all of the local farms and food sources that today's ingredients, everything from the meat to the potatoes, have come from. They are completely transparent; you know exactly where your food comes from, and knowing that you are helping promote local farms and businesses is an even bigger plus. On top of all this, the food is healthy. Yes, healthy fast food. From kale to super grains to turkey burgers and smoothies, your body will be nourished by what B.Good has to offer. There are plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans, too!
B.Good has also created an app that guests, or as they call customers, "family members" (how cool is that?), can order from to avoid lines. When you download the app, you get a small free gift (such as a free side), and at other times, other promotions are available as well. But here's my favorite part. If you're feeling generous, you can send that gift to friends, or you can donate it to a shelter or food pantry of your choice in your area. B.Good is all about the community.
Lastly, it just tastes so good. Seriously. I'd eat it for the taste alone. But with all those other benefits, it means so much more. This is how fast food should have been all along.
