The Top 6 Nail Polish Colors You Need For Your Manicure Just In Time For Halloween

Guess what y'all, Halloween is around the corner.

You have your costumes already planned out. You have all your hairstyles and makeup set. You're basically prepared for all of the Halloween festivities to come. Or...are you?

Have you gotten a manicure recently? If no, and you have money like that, take your ideas to your manicurist and they'll take care of the rest. But if you answered no and you're absolutely broke as heck, you can use your own nail polishes or buy your own to create your own fancy Halloween manicure without breaking the bank! The best place to start is by ensuring you have these basic spooky colors.

1. Black.

Black is the quintessential, original and best Halloween color of all time. It doesn't just work for Halloween, it works for any occasion: a girl's day out, a funeral, or even to your family dinner. Even if you just want to paint your nails black and call it a day, your nails will still look the part.

2. Orange.

For symbolizing pumpkins, cats, and all things autumn, orange is a must-have for your spooky manicure! Stripes, polka dots, houndstooth, checkerboard, or even leaves; no matter which design you use, your manicure will be delightful with the addition of the color orange.

3. White.

White works best for all the little ghosties and other spooky things you want to draw on your nails. If you're also into the strictly black-and-white look, you can draw out your designs onto already painted black nails. Not only will your nails look classic, but they'll also be the talk of the town!

4 Glow-in-the-dark.

Do you want to take your awesome manicure to the next level? Incorporate some glow-in-the-dark to your design! When the lights go out, everyone will be dazzled by your glow-in-the-dark stars that illuminate the black skies.

5. Grey.

Grey is a color that is not only perfect for Halloween but also very underrated and unknown. You can use grey to create gravestones or old churches; or even some bats in the sky. The possibilities with this one are endless!

6. Red.

Red is a beautiful and seductive color you can incorporate into your Halloween manicure. If you're feeling vampy (no pun intended), you can use it to symbolize the blood of your victims.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
