Guys, What Do You Look For In Girls?

The Anti-Girlfriend Tag is a popular YouTube video idea where a heterosexual guy will record himself answering the questions to, whether he is in a relationship or not. It is a set of nine questions that asks about what he desires and/or expects of his future spouse, mate, or partner, or his current one, if he is in a relationship. My answers to the questions are described below.

Question 1: What is one quality you look for in girls?

PS: There are many, but one quality I look for is loyalty. She must be loyal. What that means is, she understands and respects the desire to be exclusive. I do not tolerate being a relationship with or dating a girl who is dating around with other guys. I say this because if I truly want her, it is because she is the only one that I'm actively seeing / pursuing, and I expect her to hold herself to the same standard. I am not one to cheat, since cheating is dishonest, literally and figuratively. The same goes for sex. I'm a virgin, and I prefer that she is a virgin. With that being said, I want her to be loyal to Christ. I am actively building on and growing in my faith, so I would like for her to be doing so too.

Question 2: What physical feature do you notice first?

PS: The first physical feature I notice is hair. In my opinion, the hair plays a big part in the girl's personality. I especially love when it bounces, since a bounce in the hair makes me think she has a bounce in her step, which is a sign she is energetic, charismatic, and/or confident. Hair type (e.g. curly, straight, wavy) is not as much of a factor in this, but if her hair moves effortlessly and/or if she takes care of it well, it really catches my eye.

Question 3: Who would be your celebrity girlfriend?

PS: My celebrity girlfriend would be Rachel Platten. I'm a musician, and she's a musician also, and I absolutely love country music. She's one to follow her heart, and I think I'm the kind of person to do the same. From listening to her music, I have developed the understanding that the best way to express feelings is to write it down and say it, or have it in your mind and let it out. I believe it is important to have an open heart like she does, and her "Stand By You" song hits home with me on multiple levels, including my faith, my heart, relationships, and it allows me to feel at peace even when I am in a non-peaceful state.

Question 4: What would your dream date be?

PS: My dream date would be some kind of scavenger hunt and then a one-on-one sit-down conversation . I think a scavenger hunt challenges me, but allows me to bring out the best in myself and see what I am really made of. It makes me really think, and think hard. I like this kind of activity since it will allow me to embrace the fact that my date and I reached the end together where we made our way to one another. The one-on-one component after really allows me to connect with her, where we can pick each other's brains a bit and ask questions, to really try breaking through that outside shell.

Question 5: What is your relationship deal-breaker?

PS: My relationship deal-breaker is a lack of support. In any exclusive relationship, there has to be communication, especially that each side is holding up his or her end of the bargain, especially in challenging times. When there is support, there is communication. It is a red flag when one side isn't communicating with the other, as it could mean either the guy is feeling the girl is not there for him, or vice versa. A lack of support could mean she is seeing other guys, which is a red flag in my book.

Question 6: What is your relationship deal-maker?

PS: My relationship deal-maker is trust. When I am absolutely into a girl, I want to know all about her, since I will let her know all about me. A successful relationship requires trust and when she and I have a mutual trust, the connection strengthens and both of us are contributing to that. If I am able to be honest and open with and she still cares and wants to know more, that is a major bonus.

Question 7: What hair and eye color do you prefer?

PS: This one is the hardest for me to determine since the answer implies a singular preference, since my prerogative is, if I am absolutely attracted to a woman, I will be 100% in. However, my top preference is brown / brunette hair and brown eyes. I have brown eyes myself and I think brown is a rich color.

Question 8: If she were to buy you a gift, what would it be?

PS: If she were to buy me a gift, it would be a pair of running shoes. I enjoy running and I have participated in multiple 5k's in my lifetime. I would love to do longer-distance events too, especially a half marathon or marathon. I'm a leg man and I appreciate the pair of legs that I have. When I run, I have a moderately long stride when I run so I'm able to cover a solid amount of ground on each step. A quirk about my running style is that I have a runner's limp. One leg is held in the air slightly longer than the other when the body is in motion, but I feel confident and content when I run. In addition, I like running outside in the cold, so having the right pair of shoes helps when having traction with the ground so there's no slipping and falling.

Question 9: Do you have a type? If so, what is it?

PS: Yes, I do have a type and it's tall/thin. They are the two traits that stand out to me physically. I'm working on eating right and losing weight, and I've talked to people who succeeded at it and they told me they've been eating right for many years and maintaining consistency through their diet without getting complacent. I stand 5'9" and I love to compete in sports, especially the ones that feature taller people. My favorite sports to play are soccer, football, and volleyball, and I love to compete with and against the taller athletes and show them that I'm not too small to play their game. It's easy to get overlooked, and it's nice to prove people wrong when I'm being doubted, making me more confident in myself.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
