The A-holes are back!
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2"’s teaser trailer dropped over the weekend, but left much to the imagination about what’s in store for when it hits theaters late next spring.
With the fate of the universe resting on their shoulders, a frustrated Rocket (Bradley Cooper) instructs a very cute Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) not to push the button on a remote that controls an atomic bomb. All are eyes are on Groot, who is now in his miniature form since the ending of the first "Guardians" movie.
Together with Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), and Drax (Dave Bautista), this unlikely group of heroes comes together to save the galaxy yet again in typical "Guardians" fashion — jam-packed with action and crude humor.
"Guardians," known for pushing boundaries in the Marvel Universe with its vulgar language and sexual references, ends the teaser with Star-Lord’s secret desire for Gamora being revealed while Drax laughs on.
All of this in roughly two minutes had the internet captivated with 81 million views in just 24 hours making it the second-highest viewed trailer from the Marvel franchise, just 13 million under it's current record holder "Captain America: Civil War." That's also 60 million more than the trailer for the first movie.
This isn't even the actual trailer. Just the teaser.
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," directed by James Gunn, arrives in theaters on May 5, 2017.
