When people hear the words "Las Vegas," many picture hotels, gambling, strippers and partying. People cannot seem to get it through their heads that there is actually more to this city than The Strip. Yes, people actually live in Las Vegas. Crazy, right? Well, the Las Vegas lifestyle starts right away when we are born. All Las Vegas babies are actually born on poker tables where the mom and dad make bets on the gender of the baby. Las Vegans are always looking for a reason to gamble all of their money away!
Next comes the Las Vegas-themed schools. Here in Las Vegas, our students do not learn normal subjects such as English and math in school, but instead we learn all about how to play poker, mix drinks and how to properly dance in the clubs. By fifth grade it is expected that everyone has their poker face perfected.
Believe it or not, there is no drinking age in Las Vegas. Yep, everyone can attend the many bars and clubs here at any age. Crazy, right?
Oh, and I forgot to mention that we all live in hotel rooms on The Strip. We never have to cook because we just order room service all the time!
After finishing Vegas school ,there are just two options for careers: either become a professional poker player, or become a stripper. These are the only two jobs that people have in Las Vegas, so the decision can be pretty difficult.
Being born and raised in Las Vegas, I am here to tell you that all of the stereotypes are true. We spend our days drinking while walking the strip, gamble our money away all afternoon in the casinos and party all night long in the nightclubs.
Nope, there is nothing else to Las Vegas. People do not live in regular houses, work regular jobs or live normal lifestyles.
