Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seed. As he scattered it across his field, some of the seed fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate it. Other seed fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seed sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. But the plant soon wilted under the hot sun, and since it didn’t have deep roots, it died. Other seed fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants so they produced no grain. Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they sprouted, grew, and produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!” Then he said, “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”
‘When they see what I do,
they will learn nothing.
When they hear what I say,
they will not understand.
Otherwise, they will turn to me
and be forgiven.
The farmer plants seed by taking God’s word to others. The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message, only to have Satan come at once and take it away. The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. The seed that fell among the thorns represents others who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life, the lure of wealth, and the desire for other things, so no fruit is produced. And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”
Then Jesus asked them, “Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed? Of course not! A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine. For everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, and every secret will be brought to light. Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”
Then he added, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.”
Jesus also said, “The Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, while he’s asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not understand how it happens. The earth produces the crops on its own. First a leaf blade pushes through, then the heads of wheat are formed, and finally the grain ripens. And as soon as the grain is ready, the farmer comes and harvests it with a sickle, for the harvest time has come.” ~ Matthew 4
And even though planting a whole garden can seem daunting and full of anxiety in itself, all you have to do is start by planting one seed. And keep adding another one here and there. Take care of those seeds, and before you know it, a little leafy green thing will greet you one day.
Or, in real life, you will have a success at your job or a cute guy will give you a compliment. Nothing is more exciting than seeing your seed turn into something that blooms.
Here are a few things to keep in mind as you start planting seeds in your own life:
1. Seeds take time to grow.
A whole garden isn’t created over night, and neither is a dream life.
But, by focusing on the positives, and seeing the little seeds that start to peek out from the earth in the form of something new, we can start to see the progress we are making in our journey to start living the life we’ve always wanted.
2. Seeds must change to grow.
A seed can’t stay a seed forever. When cared for with nourishing soil, rays of sunlight, and water, they change shape and start to become whatever it is they were meant to be.
To really experience positive change, you too, must let go of your past and embrace the transformation that’s about to take place. Have confidence knowing you will take on a better form, even if it takes time.
3. When a seed flowers, everyone recognizes its beauty.
After a seed undergoes a transformation and takes on a new form, everyone appreciates it for whatever it has to offer, whether it’s a smile-inducing sunflower or a crisp carrot.
Each seed has something new, something more to contribute. And how did it get to this point? With time and a transformative change.
Go out there and start planting seeds in your life, no matter how hard or pointless it may seem right now. With a little time, patience and hard work, what now seems like an empty dirt plot will be filled with beauty and growth.
Just like a beautiful flower attracts butterflies, your life will be a magnet to the right kind of people that will truly make it one worth living.
A seed must struggle towards the sun and break through the earth if it is to become all that it can possibly be; we need to embrace this as part of the living process because there are none who escape it.
To become the light we must come from the dark
We realize How Strong we actually are through the Storms there will always be Small and and even big Obstacles to overcome but to tell you the truth. There really are somethings in this life that are hard No matter how hard it may seem right now There is always Something to cling to believe me nothing will ever be easy well sometimes it takes more than one Try to do something that you take for granted... Small Things Come in Small Packages so be Thankful for everything and for the things that you can do because there is always someone out there Who is wishing they could do what you take for granted but they just need a push to get there.. Life is just one big obstacle course. We have to overcome the obstacles to gain our victory. "When we continue to Fight the good Fight we let our light shine even in the hard times , you See I have multiple times where daily Tasks have been some of the Hardest but I understand that I can't give in We may never Understand our purpose So Whatever makes you happy Do it with all your heart "
"Don’t use your gifts for yourself but use them to Serve one another in a way that is Pleasing to The Lord and Share Love In your Service to others While You are Serving For the Betterment of Others " “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” Joshua 3:5
Sometimes the world feels like a mess Full of drama, full of stress And life puts a fist right in your ribs You can hide if you choose to And no one would even blame you Or you can let them see how you deal with it That even in the darkest place His love can make you radiate Doesn't matter how deep, how dark the night is Keep hoping, keep on shining And they'll see His light burning in your heart And if the road gets rough, just keep your head up Let the world see what you're made of That His love's alive in your deepest parts Like a flame, like a burning star you can shine right where you are He made you to glow in the dark Don't be ashamed of your past If you're shattered like a piece of glass The more broke you are the more the light gets through Show your wounds and your flaws Show them why you still need the cross Let them see the work He's doing in you That even in the darkest place His love can make you radiate Doesn't matter how deep, how dark the night is Keep hoping, keep on shining And they'll see His light burning in your heart And if the road gets rough, just keep your head up Let the world see what you're made of That His love's alive in your deepest parts Like a flame, like a burning star you can shine right where you are He made you to glow in the dark Doesn't matter how deep, how dark the night is Keep hoping, keep on shining And they'll see His light burning in your heart And if the road gets rough, just keep your head up Let the world see what you're made of That His love's alive in your deepest parts Like a flame, like a burning star you can shine right where you are He made you to glow in the dark Glow in the dark Doesn't matter how Glow in the dark Doesn't matter how ~ Jason Gray
You never know when God is Going to Speak to you and you certainly don't always alow him to speak to your Heart all the time because we get busy Chasing the Treasures of this earth instead of Looking on the inside to find the real treasure within you Let your light shine
Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.” (Psalm 126:5-6
Do you think that every day a farmer wakes up excited to go to work on his farm? No. It’s hard work! But if a farmer only worked his crops when he felt like it, not much would get done. He may not want to get up early. He may not want to go harvest and plant and weed. But he does it anyway.
Let me make a little confession: I don’t always feel like being nice to people. I hate to admit it! Sometimes I want to be cranky. Sometimes I just want to say, “Leave me alone!” I don’t always feel like being kind. I don’t always feel like being generous.
But I don’t happen to live by my feelings. I happen to live by faith. Sometimes I plant when I’m tired. Sometimes I plant when I’m distracted. Sometimes I plant when I’m stressed out. Sometimes I plant when I’m in deep, deep grief. And I move ahead in faith in spite of my feelings, expecting God to act.
Sometimes God will call you to make a sacrifice — through your money, yes, but also through your time, talent, and maybe even your life. You may feel like saying, “I don’t feel like it.” But if you do, you will miss the blessing that God wants to do by using you.
Plant by faith, not by your feelings.
