Hi best friend!
Last week was your birthday and it got me thinking about just how lucky that I am to call you my best friend. What better to do than write an article about why I appreciate you?
I know that I see you daily and that sometimes you just seem part of my routine, but I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. You have been there with me through thick and thin and I know that will continue as we journey through life together. Thank you for being there with me through failed exams, late night milkshake runs, and talking about life until 3am. I wouldn't want to do life without anyone else by my side.
It is crazy to see how our worlds collided.Who knew that we would both end up at the incredible Baylor University or that we would end up being in the same sorority? I'm just a girl from Arkansas and you're just a girl from Colorado, oh but how lucky that I was to encounter you. We met not too long ago, but I feel as if you have been in my life forever. You seem to know me better than I know myself, you calm me down when I am panicking about things that have little significance, and you keep me motivated to keep pushing forward when I feel as if I have nothing left.
It is weird how I can literally be around you 24/7 and that you never seem to annoy me. You would think that at some point I would be ready to kill you or find another best friend, but I have not had either of those motivations. I don't get it. I guess that we just compliment each other well and work well as a team, and for that I am grateful. I know that I can trust you with anything and that you are going to have my back through it all, which is something that I can rarely say about someone.
I know that sometimes when life and school get tough that it's hard to stay so consistent, but somehow you do. Studying together are a part of our normal day, on top of lunch dates and random trips to get groceries. It's crazy how much fun that we can have together just doing the random things. I have never met someone who can make me laugh so hard at the little things in life and at things that go wrong.
I have never met a person who is so loyal. Day after day you are never fail me. You do things that make me feel so loved like writing me letters every single day while I am at kamp or surprising me with a stuffed sloth when I have had a rough week. I am so grateful to walk through life with you by my side and to know that you will always be there when I need you. I am so thankful for Baylor and Alpha Delta Pi for allowing us to build this forever friendship.
Thank you for consistently being my go to person and never failing me. Thank you for being you. Know that I will be there for you through everything and that you can always depend on me just how I have depended on you. I love you to the ends of the earth, best friend. A friend like you is hard to find and I have the pleasure of calling you my best friend.
