I consider myself one of the luckiest people alive, especially because at 19 years old all four of my grandparents are still alive and well. Ever since I was a little girl, I have had the most wonderful relationship with my grandparents. They are some of my favorite people and I don’t know what I would do without them. This one is for them: thank you for all that you do for me.
Thank you for spoiling me. I think it’s in the laws of being a grandparent that you must spoil your grandchildren and, if so, my grandparents do a wonderful job of it. No matter where we go or how many times I insist on buying it myself, you will always fight back and pay for everything. Thank you for that. it really is much appreciated. I’ll get you back someday.
Thank you for always saying yes even when my parents say no. I’m sure I took advantage of this when I was younger. Whether it was something I wanted or somewhere I wanted to go, I basically always got my way because of you. Thank you for indulging me in my nonsense now and as a child.
Thank you for the constant laughter. Every time I am with you is as entertaining as the last. You never fail to make me laugh harder than anyone else could. Whether we’re out to eat as a big family, or just gathered on the couch on a Sunday afternoon, you never fail to entertain me. Thank you for making me laugh so hard I can’t breathe.
Thank you for giving me the most wonderful parents in the planet. Because of you raising such wonderful children, I was blessed with the most amazing parents. I don’t know where I would be in life without them or you, and I am confident that you all have given me the knowledge to succeed and be the same loving parent to my children some day.
Thank you for always cooking the most delicious meals. If there is one thing I’ll always remember about going to your house, it’s your homemade meals. Nothing is better than Sunday afternoon dinner, or dinner before a holiday gathering.
Thank you for your unconditional love and support. Whether it was coming to my confirmation, taking pictures with me before prom, or watching me graduate high school, you have been there through it all. Thank you for being there through all of the milestones I have reached in life. I look forward to all of the milestones to come.
Thank you for being a constant in my life. Not many people are lucky enough to have their grandparents, and I am so happy I have mine. Thank you for everything you do for me and have done. Here’s to many more happy and healthy years together, I can’t wait to see what is to come! I love you.
