If you're anything like me, you're wondering how it could possibly be the middle of the semester already.
The first few days of the semester feels like just yesterday, and you're not really sure how you've come this far so fast. This time always brings lots of stress: midterms, exams, essays, etc. Sometimes it's hard to feel like you're not drowning in school work.
So, while you worry about your impending GPA for the semester, here are all of the things that your grades won't impact.
1. Your friends.
Good GPA or bad, your friends are always going to be there. They're going to help you through the good and the bad.
2. Your family.
They'll always love you no matter what, and they're always a phone call away to complain about school.
3. Your pets.
Your dog doesn't even know what a GPA is. That's empowering.
4. Your health.
Besides stress and anxiety, your GPA probably won't affect your health all that much.
5. Your ability to do better next time.
No matter how this semester goes, there's always the next and room for improvement. Realize that the room for growth is an opportunity, so don't be too hard on yourself when things don't go exactly as planned.
Anyone who knows me knows I am the first to freak out about her grades. I am very "Type A," particularly when it comes to school and academics, and it's usually very hard for me to let go and just relax.
I constantly have to remind myself that my GPA is only a number; it is in no way a measure of worth. While you may be stressed at this point of the semester, just remember all of the things your GPA won't ever affect. You're going to make it through.
