To my goofy and incredible boyfriend,

First, let me start by saying a big thank you. Thank you for putting up with attitude and for keeping me on track in school. Thank you for being my rock when I need someone to rant to. Thank you for taking me on many dates and reminding me of what is important in the world. Thank you for making sure I am having fun and encouraging me to do new things I would never do without you. Most importantly, thank you for respecting my boundaries and for loving me for who I am.

You are the silliest and the most romantic person I know. You are the light I look for in the moments of darkness I have. You are the bright shining light everyone looks for because you are the greatest role model. Your laugh fills the room and your smile will light up anyone's day. Your jokes are really corny but somehow you manage to make me laugh. Your hugs make me feel so safe and you are always warm. You manage to stay happy and strong for me even in my hard times and that is something hard to find in a person. You are the person I was looking for.

Before you, I had always imagined being in the relationship that everyone was jealous of. Know that I am with you I realized that this is not what it is all about. You picked up the pieces when I needed it the most, and you did save me from the evil in the world. I will never know why you chose me out of all the fish in the sea, but I am so thankful that you did. I never thought someone would like me as much as you do, and I will be forever thankful. You make me feel like I am the only girl in the world and I am thankful for that. You call me your princess and you treat me nothing short of this. You deserve an award for dealing with me for this long, so you are a trooper.

We both have experienced bad things, and heartbreak before but this relationship has grown strong and the heartbreak has not affected our relationship. I was terrified to ever let anyone in again, but I am glad I let you in because you are the greatest gift that God has ever given me. However, there will be days that I break down and I am the worst person to be around and I hope that you realize that it is not your fault. I do not want the pain of the past to ruin the bright future we have together.

It is important that you know that I am not in this for a fling or even a short-term relationship. I know the future will be hard and there will be obstacles that we both think we cannot get over, but we will get through it together. I cannot wait to tackle future with you and I am ready for this crazy adventure with you!
