When NBA fans started watching the Warriors Thunder series, it seemed as though the sun may be setting on Golden State. Oklahoma City was up 3 - 1 in the series, making the Warrior's likelihood of a final's rematch slim.

But that's not what Stephen Curry had in mind when he sunk a 3-pointer before the final buzzer for the Warrior's win. Golden State fans and players alike were not optimistic at half time, with Oklahoma City controlling the pace of the game for most of the first half. However, fans did have a glimmer of hope, as the Warriors were able to get in one last shot with Curry scoring a crazy circus shot moments before the buzzer. Despite the hustle, however, Thunder was still ahead 48 - 42 at the half, giving an ominous atmosphere to the court as Thunder was also ahead 53 - 48 at Game 6.

The Warriors came out with a desire to win in the start of the 2nd half. But that wasn't because of Curry alone, as he wasn't the only player on the court that night having a great game and adding to the suspense and excitement Game 7 surly brought. Klay Thompson, Golden State's guard, missed his first six attempts in the game, before coming back to score six 3-pointers later in the game. Not only was this game the perfect comeback story, it was also award winning, as it set the NBA record for 3 pointers scored in a seven game series (there were a whooping 90 in total), with Curry breaking the individual record by sinking an incredible 32 3-pointers.

However, the unsung hero of Game 7 is definitely the Warriors' defense. A news article from Yahoo put it best: "Anyone watching this game without an eye on the box score likely would have thought that the Thunder had more than three turnovers in the second half (and seven for the game), but that's only because Golden State's defensive rebounding created transition opportunities that had come from OKC miscues in previous runs this series."

With this win from Golden State being the first time a team has come back from a 3 -1 deficit in the conference finals to move onto the NBA finals since the 1981 Boston Celtics, it is with a dream fueled by skill and talent, especially from players such as Thompson and Curry, that could lead the Golden State Warriors to only increase their already impressing legacy by winning back to back NBA championships against the Cavaliers, with Game 1 starting Thursday, June 2nd at 9 pm EST.
