I've experienced a lot of unpleasant things in my life. I've had eight-hour layovers when traveling, worked as a janitor, eaten lunch in my high school cafeteria, etc. However, there is one particular thing about adulthood that sucks worse than all the rest: going to the DMV. Everyone must do it at some point in their life, and if you ask any given adult, chances are they have some horror stories tied to some of their past visits. We all know the struggle, and who better to articulate these frustrations than the cast of "New Girl?"
1. The mental preparation.
2. You will have to take a selfie when you get there so that your Instagram followers can sympathize with the tragedy that is your Saturday.

3. Of course, there will be dozens of screaming kids around.
4. Lunch time will roll around, and you'll want to hit the snack bar.
5. You'll do anything you can do advance your spot in line.
6. A few hours in...
7. You're starting to get tired of the entire human race.
8. You're guaranteed to be seated next to that one lady who is talking way too loud on her phone.
9. A nice man will offer to save your seat while you go to the bathroom, but you don't fall for it.
Thanks but no thanks. I've seen you and your wife waiting for a seat to open up for the past 30 minutes. I'll hold it, thank you very much.
10. Everyone there is rude.
11. Whenever someone new walks in...
I hate to break it to you buddy, but there are 374 people in front of you.
12. You'll have to exercise major self-restraint to keep yourself from hitting the people around you.
13. When you think they called your number, but you heard them wrong.
14. When the people around you try talking to you.
Please just don't.
