Finals week is a two word phrase that has been haunting college students for decades. It is full of anxiety, tears and over-eating. A lot of the time, finals don't even consist of just tests but group projects and 20 page papers that most students realistically don't have time to complete. The only plus side to finals week is that in a week you are school free for at least another month... unless you take winter classes. Then, you are just SOL.
Setting an alarm to get to the library early to study.
Actually finding the motivation to get yourself out of bed to study.
Making your way to the library.
Seeing how crowded the library is when you first walk in.
Looking around for friends to sit with who have space at their table.
Sitting down and thinking about the work you're about to do.
Opening a word document to start your first paper.
Realizing that you have no motivation to do anything.
Getting distracted by other people who won't stop talking.
Getting a text from someone in your class reminding you of something else you have to get done.
Finishing your first assignment.
Starting your second assignment.
Realizing you haven't retained any information from your classes the entire semester.
Listening to someone talk to you about how stressed out they are.
When food seems to be the only thing you can focus on after a couple of hours.
Hitting your tenth hour in the library.
Stepping outside after being stuck inside the library for what feels like days.
Getting home and relaxing until you have to do it all again in a few hours.
Happy finals week!
