My sweet, precious child,

You are my beloved, my delight, and I rejoice in you. Oh, how loved you are.

I am not distant or angry, but the complete representation of love. I offer you more than an earthly father ever could. I am your provider and meet all of your needs. I love you with an everlasting love and will never stop doing good to you because you are my treasured possession.

I want you to know that no matter how many times you may feel alone, I will never leave nor forsake you and will be with you until the end of time.

I've seen the tears that you cry, and I understand your pain. My sacrifice wasn't for nothing. I understand your frustrations, confusions, hurt, anger, sadness, and fears. I care so much for you. Seek solace in me, my child, for I love you so. I am your greatest encourager and will be close to you when you are brokenhearted.

I know what makes you hurt. I know what makes you cry. I know what makes you tick. I know how to be a loving father to you, and I know how to comfort you.

I know everything about you. For you were made in my image and are my offspring; even the hairs on your head are numbered.

I knew you even before you were created in your mother's womb. You were not a mistake, for your name is written in my book.

You long for acceptance, when you are already accepted into my family. You look to the things of this world to find your worth, when you are part of my Kingdom. You feel too broken, when in me you are made whole.

Just remember, my love for you will never end and there is nothing that you can do to make me love you any more or less.

I will not leave you for another.

No matter how far you go, my love will never fail.

I love you even as I love my son, Jesus; For it is in Him my love is revealed for you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
