Things are about to get really personal, so buckle up your seat belt and hold on.

In my opinion, I have been going through a dry season in my relationship with God for a while now, but through it all I have seen how faithful He has been in His pursuit of me, and even though I feel as if its going nowhere, He knows exactly what He is doing, and that is so special. Y’all, we have an awesome Heavenly Father. Like, wow. I am so amazed at how He cares for each and every one of us in a way that is unique to our life’s situations.

Sometimes life can be great, sometimes it can be hard, and sometimes it can just be downright crappy, but He is so good to us through it all. How freaking cool is it that the creator of the world wants to know, grow with and have a relationship with you? I am flabbergasted at the peace and grace that He shows, but most of all the patience that He exudes without fail. Daily, I am thankful that He does not give up on me when it would be easy to, and especially when I have already given up on myself.

I have learned that you cannot put your all into the people of this world, because without a doubt, they will fail to meet your expectations. That’s not a bad thing, we are all human and sometimes the bar is set too high for us to reach, but there is someone that brings the bar to a new level, and He is so much greater than any person, animal or thing on this planet.

I have learned that it is OK to make mistakes and pick yourself up. God is not a genie in a bottle that you call on when you need help or a pick-me-up. He is there to guide you and help you with all of your battles that are placed before you, but He isn’t going to snap His fingers and fix every bad thing when you ask for help. If you want things to get better, you have to have the attitude and determination to make sure they change, and hopefully along the way God’s plan is revealed.

I have learned that you don’t always have to talk to God for Him to have a conversation with you. Look outside. Look at your surroundings. Look in the mirror. Everything He created tells you a little more about who He is –– the details He puts into everything: the spots on a ladybug, stars in the sky, even the hairs on your head; it is so awesome that the same one that created all of these miraculous things wants to talk to you, wants to get to know you, and wants you to let Him love you so deeply.

I have learned that I am enough. Me, with all of my mistakes, flaws, scars, faith-less attitude, impatience, unworthiness and brokenness –– I am enough for God. I am enough. I can come to Him with everything I am, and He will still love me unconditionally.

I have learned that just because the season of a relationship may seem dry, it doesn’t mean that He isn’t working on plans in the background, and just because I can’t actively see the changes, it doesn’t mean that He has given up or abandoned me.

We were created by such a faithful and loving God, He deserves every bit of who we are and more.

“Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” Psalm 73:25-26

“This I declare about the LORD; He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.” Psalm 91:2

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
