Everyone began the year 2016 with some optimism, goals to reach and dreams to turn into reality. As the year is ending, this is the time to take a retrospective look and recapitulate. Our reminiscence over one's set objective testifies to whether the year is good or bad?

As we're gearing up for 2017, people have their minds set on two things: how they began the year 2016 and how they are wrapping it up. These are common ideas that we all share. Everyone has a different objective, taste and lifestyle, which determine what we like, our living standards and how big or small our dreams are. A true dreamer works very hard to make his dream come true. That dream could be a lot of things, including a house, a good job, a car, a career, money or a vacation, etc.

With this broad topic in mind, it's even impossible to speculate on everyone's objectives and outcomes this time of the year. It's also difficult to talk about my personal matters. If I do, I will be perceived as being boastful for the good things I say about myself. If I don't, I will also be perceived as reticent for not disclosing information about my 2016 unfulfilled expectations. People are fascinated with tension; they sensationalize it.

To me personally, 2016 has been a blessed year. Once I satisfy my passion for multimedia journalism, I've become oblivious of the unknown. Either way, in the spirit of following the protocol of the article and journalism, I will explore some possibilities of 2016 year's goals with their good or bad outcomes.

Success is the result of hard work. Those who set their goals high and fulfill them take pride in sharing their success stories, but with a detailed account of hard work, challenges and difficulties they encounter along the way. This is now the time to look back and reflect on what makes this year good or bad.

By taking a retrospective look at the year 2016, people are assessing the events of their lives. It is some type of personal inventory to find out if the results obtained meet their expectations. Whether the year is good or bad depends on what we made it out to be. It is also based on the lesson we learn about ourselves through the process.

Those who stick to their plans are celebrating their successes; those who end the year 2016 with unmet expectations should welcome the New Year with optimism and an achievable resolution. Let's aim for something reachable; work hard; expand our potentials and stretch our limits without causing harm to ourselves. By so doing, we can somehow anticipate celebrating our successes in 2016 and every year to come. subsequently, next year around this time, every winner will look over year 2017 and proudly say: I've reached my goals; my efforts are rewarding; and what a great year it is!

“A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals," Larry Bird.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
