1. Their personality and their history with each other
Rhett and Link have been friends since the first grade and have gotten along ever since. They literally feed off of each other through comedy and through their friendship. Rhett is the more sarcastic out of the two, he's more outgoing, his facial expressions are hilarious, and no one can imagine him without his facial hair. Link is the one who gags all the time because they eat disgusting things on the show, he usually laughs at Rhett when he can't handle a certain situation or when Rhett makes funny facial expressions, he faces his fears head on more than Rhett and he has gone through an evolution of hairstyles. But with the both of them combined and with the help and hard work of their crew, they are able to create Good Mythical Morning, Good Mythical More, Ear Biscuits which is their weekly podcast, and Buddy System which is only available on YouTube Red. Rhett and Link have recently came out with a book called 'the book of mythicality which came out in October of 2017.
2. They share a podcast called 'Ear Biscuits'
Ear Biscuits is more personal than their show and Rhett and Link go down a lot of rabbit holes. I think that more of Rhett and Link's personality shows because they talk about their family, the things they're going through and literally anything else. There are no boundaries and there are no lines to be crossed. I look forward to listening to this weekly podcast at the roundtable of dim lighting because you never know what they're going to talk about even if you look at the title. The humor from their other shows flows flawlessly into this podcast. My favorite Ear Biscuits is called 'the perfect Morgan Freeman impression.'
3. Together they create humorous content (games, Will It series, Ranked and guest stars)
The games themselves are hilarious. Link is infamously bad at playing any sort of game while Rhett is always somehow winning. Rhett takes the more logical approach to things while Link just goes in and wings it most of the time. Some of my favorite episodes in the Will it series are the 'Will it smoothie?', the 'Will it chocolate?' and 'Will it cereal?' From the ranked series, I think the best ones are 'Worst 90s fashion trends', '5 craziest looking prehistoric creatures' and 'Worst parking jobs.' There's been a lot of guest stars on Good Mythical Morning over the past 6 years (almost 7.) I loved the episode with Linkin Park because it was really special for me after Chester Bennington passed away. There are a couple of episodes of Rhett and Link staring on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon which have been comic gold.
4. They listen and talk with their fans in every video
So at the end of each Good Mythical Morning episode, they spin the wheel of mythicality which is basically the mythical beasts aka the fans send in a video to spin the wheel. You get to find out where the wheel of mythicality lands and then in the Good Mythical More episodes on a different channel, then they do whatever the wheel lands on. One of the biggest things that I admire about Rhett and Link is their dedication to their fans. They never want to disappoint the mythical beasts. They've been on YouTube since 2012 and they continue to go to Vidcon and other YouTube events to meet their fans. Some bigger YouTubers don't go to those events anymore and have never given an actual reason as to why.
5. They work really hard for every episode and for every season that is created
Rhett and Link have created a lot of content that no other YouTubers would dare to. They're constantly brainstorming new ideas for future episodes and they're just not afraid to try anything. This article is so difficult to try and sum up everything of Good Mythical Morning and the friendship between Rhett and Link because it's something that cannot be defined and that's why I love them!
