As I sit here FREEZING my butt off, I feel as though I must write down these 23 things all girls whose feet are always cold know to be true:

1. Socks take over your closet

2. You have a heating pad strictly for your feet

3. Scratch that - you have a heating pad for your whole body

4. Whenever Old Navy has their socks on sale for $1, you start stock piling

5. When you come home the first thing you do is dip your feet in hot water to warm yourself up

6. You live under a pile of blankets during the winter and you're perfectly content with that

7. You would live in a 110 Degree shower if you could

8. You put your PJs in the dryer before bedtime so you can be extra cozy and warm

9. You dress in layers because it serves two purposes - Keeping you warm and hiding your constantly erect nipples

10. You know that there is no such thing as "too much chapstick"

11. You get hate for wearing Uggs, but you know your feet would fall off without them

12. Your Black Friday shopping deals consist of finding the best sale for space heaters

13. The North seems like its full of psychopaths because there is no way anyone could enjoy living in the cold year round

14. You'll see girls with their frozen mocha-caramel-frappa-soy-vanilla-venti-cappa-latte and wonder how in the world are they not freezing?

15. You have, on several occasions, gone to the bathroom with the sole purpose of running your hands under hot water

16. If the bathroom happens to have an air dryer - you know you hit the jackpot

17. The idea of snuggling up with PJ pants and several blankets is your oasis

18. You have contemplated showing up to work/school wrapped in a blanket

19. And you've done it once or twice on occasion

20. Your scarf collection is on fleek

21. The cold is constantly giving you trouble in the form of a runny nose

22. When you need to pee, but you're all wrapped up in your cozy and warm bed so you just hold it in

23. You dream about packing up and moving somewhere warm year round

When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
