Stop Being Salty

Girls Are Mean

Girls are mean. We all know it. I’m not the type of person to one side it either, guys are assholes but girls are just plain mean. Everyone gets in their fair share of fights and hates certain people and sometimes for no reason. But there is a major difference in a guys shade versus a girls shade. When a boy is in a fight he will most of the time tell the other person where to go and then walk away from it. Guys are usually over it in an hour to a day and then all of a sudden they are best friends again.

But when a girl gets in a fight, it’s the end of the world, it will last forever. Girls will pick out someone’s characteristics to make fun, belittle, and completely degrade that person. A boy just wants a person to know that he is mad, a girl wants that person to feel like crap for a very long time and question things about themselves. I’m here to say, girls, you need to chill.

We all say mean things to each other, even boys. But if you go and do a girl wrong they will make fun of things that you can’t change. Like your hair color, the size of your nose, the way your pants fit you, how you eat, your moms name, something you said to them a year ago. You end up questioning things that you never thought you’d be questioning. Is my nose really that big? Is my moms name really weird? Do I eat that differently from other people? They want you to feel pain and if a girl sets out to do it, then you are going to feel pain.

The thing that bothers me most, is that girls do this to other girls when they have done nothing wrong. A girl could be wearing the same shirt as another girl and all of a sudden they are a bitch. Another girl looks at the guy you like, done. A girl looks at them the wrong way, maybe not even on purpose, done. A girl is really pretty and it intimidates them, done.

We live in a world, where girls get dressed up nicely to be noticed by guys which is awesome and all but the people that are really going to notice it is other girls. And instead of routing for them, giving them support for looking amazing, girls just give other girls shade because they are intimidated by it. It never has, and probably never will make sense to me. Yes guys can be awful but they are doing it the right way. Most guys aren’t as judgmental and will be friends with someone just because they are wearing the same shirt. Guys don’t get mad when another guy looks at him as they pass by, they don’t judge what another guy is wearing and get pissed because that guy may look better than them.

Every girl needs to chill, and reevaluate. If girls would just stop being so mean, there would be so many more friendships, and the world would be a lot nicer. Instead of being salty, you should tell a girl she looks pretty, get excited when someone is wearing the same shirt, comfort another girl when a guy screws her over instead of laughing and judging her because you most likely will be in the same situation at some point. Stop fighting over guys, I promise it’s not worth it. If you have to compete with another girl, then your both choosing the wrong person. Everybody just needs to love everybody. Your world will be a much better place for you. Hating and being salty makes you look bad and puts way too much negativity in your life. Just be nice.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
